The institute is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. With a campus spreading over an area of 150 acres, the college has a total of 49 faculty members. As per the official website, Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science vision is to become a progressive research focused institution that instills passion for life-long learning and mould the young people to impact the world. 

The college offers a total of 16 courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. Some of the courses offered by KCLAS are B.B.A International Business, B.Sc. Visual Communication, B.A. Tamil Literature, M.S.W., Ph.D Commerce etc. The institute conducts an online test, situation analysis test and a personal interview for admission to UG and PG courses.
