Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. Honours: Kunwar Singh College provides many B.A. Honours streams such as History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Home Science, English, Hindi, Urdu, Maithili, Sanskrit, Economics, and Philosophy. Admission into these streams is conducted on the basis of a merit list created using aggregate marks achieved in the 10+2 exam. Intake in different subjects is different, and History Honours has the highest intake of 564 seats.
B.Com Honours: The college offers B.Com Honours Accounting and Finance with intake capacity of 468 and Marketing with intake capacity of 180. Admission is done according to merit list drawn out of marks at 10+2 based result, giving emphasis on subject mark of commerce.
B.Sc Honours: For science streams, the college offers B.Sc Honours in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Mathematics. The process of admission in these courses is more defined. According to the admission process, "Admission will be on merit based on the aggregate percentage marks secured in subjects relevant in Class 12." This ensures that good science subject background students are chosen. The intake capacity of most of the science courses is 154 seats, whereas for Zoology and Mathematics it is 220 seats each.
I am studying BA in History honours (2021-2024). The teaching quality is very poor. It is total waste of money and time. They don't provide syllabus. Curriculum is not updated. Students are not prepared for jobs.
I studied BA in English honours (2020-23). The teaching quality is poor. They don't prepare students for job. Curriculum is not updated. Faculties member only care about their monthly salaries. Students even don't attend classes.
