The labs and classrooms are functional, though they are not very high-tech. The mathematics department has access to a computer lab with necessary tools and Wi-Fi, although the connectivity can be patchy at times.
The faculty members in the Mathematics department are knowledgeable and supportive. They are always willing to help with doubts and guide students, especially those preparing for entrance exams or looking to continue their education.
For B.Sc Mathematics students, placement opportunities are quite limited. Most companies that visit focus mainly on IT or management roles, and very few come for core science courses. From what I know, students with technical backgrounds like B.Tech or BCA usually have better chances of getting placed.
Classrooms are warm, and facilities in the maths department are good for academic purposes. The central library has mathematics and other subjects' textbooks and reference books in adequate quantity. The labs are theoretical in orientation, and practical exposure is minimal.
The faculty members of the Mathematics department are polite and helpful. They are highly qualified to a greater degree, and they deliver tough concepts in simple words. They also prepare students for competitive examinations, as well as for further studies.
B.Sc Maths students have zero placements. Even 5% or less students get placements through any formal campus placements, and that too in non-core jobs such as data entry or back-office work. No core companies are visiting the campus for mathematics graduates.
