Ph.D Law at Lords School of Law, Lords University, Alwar Offline Course

A candidate for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) must have obtained at least Second Class in a master’s degree with securing minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university in which the candidate wishes to pursue the program of research or in a relevant subject thereto. A candidate with a 1 Year /2-Semester Master’s Degree Program after a 4-Year/8-Semester bachelor’s degree program can pursue a Ph.D. degree, provided that the candidate has a minimum of 75% Marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale. (A relaxation of 5% marks in PG Degree is applicable for Reserved Category, i.e., SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) & Differently Abled Candidates.) For further information, refer to UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph D Degrees) Regulations, 7th November 2022. International research scholars are permitted to pursue a Ph.D. as per Clause 7.1 in the UGC regulations 2022. 

Part-Time mode: 

Minimum qualifications are the same as mentioned above (Full-Time mode). 1. Ph.D. program through part-time mode is permitted, provided that all the conditions stipulated in the UGC Regulations 2022 are fulfilled. 2. University shall obtain a “No objection certificate” from the candidate for a Part-Time Ph.D. program of the appropriate authority in the organization where the candidate is employed, clearly stating that:

I. The candidate is permitted to pursue studies on a Part-Time basis. 

II. His/her official duties permitted him/her to devote sufficient time to research. 

III. If required, he/she will be relieved from the duties to complete the coursework.
