Specialisations include, B.Sc Physics Hons, B.Sc Chemistry Hons, B.Sc Botany Hons, B.Sc Zoology Hons, B.Sc Mathematics Hons, and B.Sc Biotechnology Hons.
MGC offers both a general B.Com and B.Com (Hons) programme. Admission is mostly merit-based, on 10+2 commerce or equivalent examinations.
The college has an applied BCA programme. Admission has historically been based on merit and could also generally include the mathematics and computer science scores from 10+2.
MGC provides a vocational BBM programme. The admission process is mostly merit-based, taking into consideration a student's overall academic performance in 10+2.
The college provides 6 specialisations for the MA programmes, which include, MA Political Science, MA English, MA Hindi, MA Urdu, MA History, and MA Psychology. Admission into the MA courses is mainly based on the performance of the candidate in his/her respective bachelor's degree.
MGC offers 5 specialisations in M.Sc programmes: M.Sc Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc Botany, M.Sc Zoology, and M.Sc Mathematics. Usually, the admission takes place through merit against a candidate's bachelor's degree in respective science discipline.
