Mount Zion Institute of Science and Technology, Kozhuvalloor, Chengannur, Alappuzha District of Kerala, was set up in the year 2009. This affiliated college approved by the AICTE originally offers technical professional and management courses. Located on a vast area of land measuring 11 acres the institute attracts a total enrolment of 206 students and 33 a faculty. Through its recognition, Mount Zion Institute of Science and Technology aims at offering quality education in engineering as well as management at par with technological development in order to produce professional engineers of high competence.

Mount Zion Institute of Science and Technology boasts of providing almost all types of facilities which could make a student’s education a more charge. The college has two hostel facilities for boys and girls respectively who are about 10 km from the college and under watchful eye of skilled wardens. To enhance the health capability of individuals of the college community, the college health centre is equipped with first aid equipment. As for physical training, the athletic can use the gymnasium on campus. The college library which is a store house of knowledge has over 10000 books, 20 periodical and 10 newspapers and a reading section that can comfortably accommodate 200 students at a time.

Mount Zion Institute of Science and Technology currently has five courses, two undergraduate and three postgraduate courses. The institute offers four B.Tech programmes in regular mode and one full- time MBA programme. An approved figure of students from all courses is two hundred, ten students. The B.Tech programmes include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence for students, and MBA programme for management skilled professionals.

Mount Zion Institute of Science and Technology follows a proper eligibility criteria which are quite reasonable for the students. MBA programmes require the candidates to appear for the management aptitude tests in relevant cases. This makes it clear that the institute has made a quality improvement in education through its AICTE approval since its programmes conform to national standards.
