The campus is great, green and pollution-free. Situated at the outskirts of shirpur city. It is equipped with a ground, tennis, basket ball, volleyball and badminton court, the swimming pool being still under construction. There is aroom for indoor games aswell. The hostel rooms are among the best in the country. The food provided is decent but only veg food is available in the campus. Almost all the faculties are good and ready to help. There are quite a good number of student activities going on in the campus.

Struggling because it's a 'brand'

We have a football ground, tennis courts, badminton play area and an under construction swimming pool. We have a lots of co curricular activities here. Academics match the level of good colleges. Many fests are organised which targets our technical and co curricular skills. One drawback of the college is the location where it is situated, we have a lack of city exposure.

I joined this college for its brand name afterall it was NMIMS. The nearest town is Shirpur. The college authorities do not allow us to go any where outside the campus. This campus sucks in campus life. There is no medical facilities. The mess is strictly vegetarian and if I want to eat non veg food I am not allowed to bring non veg food and even I am not allowed to go outside to have good food. To go out for town visits we have to line up hours before the distribution of passes in long lines like we are standing in a tatkal ticket line. Staff of this college is very rude and even abuse students. If a student is suspected of doing anything wrong he/she is presented infront of a comitee with people who no nothing about the case and the so presumed culprit is not even given a chance to put his/her point infront of the comitee. The medical facilites suck. The nearest good hospital is 200km away so in case of any emergency there is no sureity that the patient will be shown to a doctor. You go to college in the morning you get to know about a new rule by the afternoon for which you are supposed to be the culprit and you will be infront of the comitee by evening. This comitee has biased people in it. The hostel as well as academic authorities are very strict and they show no respect towards you. If any of the student wants to do good for the college he cannot do so as the authorities take it as offence and the student could bring in objectionable material through any good deed. We requested authorities to have any 1 fast food chain in aur campus they refused to our requests and gave the reason that students will get ciggirates and alchohol from the chain inside the campus. WE ARE JAILED HERE.....

My title says above average students, which actually means above average in financial terms as well. First of its an expensive college, hostel room is best that I have seen. The campus is very well maintained, green and pollution free. There is ample options to keep you engaged when it comes to sports and fitness. Because the faculties are made to stay in the campus, often there is a great bonding between the student and teacher which makes the process of learning very easy.

Because the college is situated in a remote place , we have to face betwork issues otherwise the college is safe haven . The food is good , infrastructure is awesome and the campus is beautiful. Sports amenity is outstanding, faculties are very helpful.

What is a better option for a HSC Commerce student - IIM Indores 5 year IPM or first a B.Comm. from a reputed college like Narsee Monjee Mumbai, and then an MBA from IIM Indore ?

Yashu Shrivastava 4th Dec, 2019

Hello Sharth

I would prefer you to prepare for 5 years integrated program from IIM Indore. As IIM has its own brand name.It provides the chance of making it to the IIM when the competition is extremely less. While almost 2.1 lakh students appeared for CAT in 2018, only about 18,000 appeared for the IPM test in the same year. Comparing it with the B.Tech graduates who pursue an MBA after engineering and spend 6 years in doing so, IPM saves the students’ one year as it gets completed within a matter of 5 years.

So its better to do IPM instead of doing B.com (//B.com) from any reputed college.

Hope This Helps

Good Luck!
