General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year and six-month full-time diploma program offered by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council(INC).

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to G.N.M:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible for state open schools recognized by the state government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS), recognized by the central government. However, science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English, having 40% of marks in the vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council
- 10+2 with English, having 40% of marks in the vocational stream-health care science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Center
- Registered ANM with a Pass mark.
For Foreign nationals
- The entry qualification equivalency, i.e,. 12th standard will be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, Institutions, and the State Nursing Council will be responsible for ensuring that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed above.
1. Reservation
2. For disabled candidates: 3% disability reservations to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity, and other eligibility criteria concerning age and qualification will be the same as prescribed for each nursing program.
  
  Note: A committee to be formed consisting of a medical officer authorized by the medical board of the state government and a nursing expert in the panel, which may decide whether the candidates have a disability of locomotor disability of 40% to 50%.
3. 5% the total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates
4. Any other reservation as per the state government.
  
  Note: Reservation shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of the seats by INC and not above it.
1. Admissions of students shall be once a year.
2. Students shall be medically fit.
3. The minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as of 31st December of that year) The upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.
