Content and very happy to do my UG in Gandhi Medical College

    College Infrastructure

One thing about Gandhi that stood out to me the most is the infrastructure. Despite being a government college, it has good infrastructure: all the labs are fully equipped. And the libraries are well ventilated, spacious halls providing a huge collection of books. We also have huge lecture gallery classrooms for different subjects where benches and smart boards are in good condition, We also have different grounds for different sports. Boys and girls hostel are in good condition and very hygenic

    Academics

The teaching is good. But in mbbs course you have to read and understand on your own.. the teachers try their best to make you understand.. you have to put efforts. For the new batches the mci changed the curriculum which introduced integrated teaching, seminars etc which helps the students develop their eloquency and confidence as well.

    Placements

Gandhi medical college has a good name in the outside world. Many top doctors in the multispeciality hospitals like Care Hospital, Apollo are fron Gandhi. So if you are a gandhi alumnus, you will be noted in the scenario of joh applications. That's how feel.. I am still in 2nd year of mbbs..

    Value for Money

14000/- per year and fir wnd year which is 1.5 years is 21000/-

    Gandhi Medical College

    College Infrastructure

Our college has a good infrastructure and all the necessary facilities and equipment. Our library and sport centres are good too. The classrooms, laboratories and hostels need to be improved with their facilities and decorum. The food quality also needs improvement.

    Academics

I am a first year medico with a great passion for surgery. The quality of teaching is pretty good, we have amazing faculty. Our curriculum is well updated and has got few good competencies to keep the teaching more practical.

    Placements

Here in medical colleges, students are not placed. But we do have to complete a mandatory internship in our final year with a minimal pay of not more than 17K-20K. Students who go for higher studies are paid monthly stipend during their practice according to the department they get into.

    Value for Money

My course costed 18K initially and we don't pay per year as it is a government college. We've been getting more than our money's worth. It's very fortunate to get into a government medical college.

    Campus Life

Our campus life is quite awesome. We have lots of fun during the fests and other cultural events. We have two auditoriums, gymnasium, and good sport centres.

    Gandhi Medical College

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastucture can be said as good. We are provided with many facilities like a big library, cool sport centres but we also lag in few other facilities like average canteen arena and not so hygienic food.

    Academics

I am studying MBBS first year in Gandhi Medical College. The quality of teaching is good. Yes, we are updated and our curriculum does include the recent developments in the medical field. Yes, what I study makes me job ready.

    Placements

There is nothing called placements as such, because it is a medical college. We are paid for our internship in our final year like around 20,000 as of now. And then our stipend depends on our further practice.

    Value for Money

We paid 18.000 initially for admission into the college, and further do no have any per semester fee to pay. Yes, I'm getting worth more than the money.

    Campus Life

Our campus is very green and maintained well. It has got good auditorium and sports centres. But it has comparitively smaller campus.

I feel our clg is really good

    College Infrastructure

Our college has good infrastructure...... Like smart boards...... E library.... Well equiped labs... But there is no free wifi though..... Expect this everything is fine with the infrastructure part...... Everything is maintained really good.... Coming to the living spaces they too are maintained neat and food is not that good..... Of course no food prepared outside can ever beat the home made food...

    Academics

I am in mbbs first year right now.....Coming to the faculty part it's fine..... But remember one thing once u had entered a professional course u can't expect any spoon feeding sort of stuff here... So u have to do urself..... Of course the faculty definitely supports u but ur part is major than the faculty..... Of course our faculty too puts lots of efforts to make us understand....... By innovative methods too.... Apart from the clinical exposure everything is at par with the updated curriculu

    Placements

We actually don't have any placements.... We are paid until our internship and then we are gonna write NEXT exam based on which we are going to get our pg seat after that ur going to paid as per the pg clg u have entered

    Value for Money

Nearly 40k to 50k including mess fee , hostel fee, books, etc etc apart from tution fee

    Campus Life

Well since we have just entered our mbbs this year... We have lots of fun of course studies too..... Of course we are engaged with various activities such as seminars, group discussions etc etc.... Which helps u to overcome ur stage fear.... Teachers are of course supportive.... Coming to it's location.... It's placed almost in the heart of the city.... And it's safe too

    Others

Finally....at this level it doesn't matter I to which clg u are into...... But into which ever clg u are u have to make the best out of it

    Top college of Telangana

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Though our college campus, being in the heart of the city, occupies smaller area, it has an appreciable and well-maintained infrastructure. We have been provided with all the necessary laboratories, digital and normal libraries, sports arenas and halls. The canteen food tastes great. And I believe there are still more to explore as I'm only a fresher here.

    Academics

I'm pursuing MBBS, and from this year (2019) onwards, there has been a tremendous change in our curriculum and syllabus. It's no more taught the same way, but the classes are made more interactive and are encouraging self-directed learning. Well, it's the condition in the whole nation, but I'm glad to say that our college is following the rules well enough, implementing the new changes and working on for the betterment.

    Placements

We actually don't have placements, we are paid Rs 20,000/month during the final year of internship. After that, we give NEXT exam to get into Postgraduate course, and the stipend depends on the type of course and college.

    Value for Money

The initial installment costs Rs 18,000. And the hostel charges include Rs 10,000. I estimate the total cost for the whole course to be approximately Rs 60,000- 70,000. And I find it quite reasonable.

    Campus Life

Our campus provides us a lot of facilities to cherish in various fields apart from studies. We have tournaments and fests where we can exhibit all our talents and arts, and also learn more. The activities vary from cricket, badminton to dancing, singing, writing, acting and many more. The student and staff are friendly and good. It's a safe zone and can handle emergencies. The location is the best, situated near railway, metro and bus station.

    Others

On the whole, it's a bliss to be a Gandhian. But only with a single drawback, the first-years are restricted from many activities (for the welfare between senior-junior relationship). But from the next year onwards, there's a lot of freedom and a lot more to explore.

Top college of Telangana with really good amenities.

    College Infrastructure

Being a government college, our college has a great infrastructure comparatively. A calm and huge library. The laboratories are so well equipped that it has become the hub for research by medical students in the city. The faculty is highly experienced and approachable. The sport centres are good and students maintain them. The hostels are clean, though rooms are not spacious enough. The living places are maintained clean and the food hygiene, as of now can be rated as average.

    Academics

I'm pursuing MBBS at Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad. I am intrigued by the subject of surgery and aim to be one of the best surgeons in my field. Yes, our curriculum is very well updated and includes the recent developments and competencies. The quality of teaching is above average including group discussions, seminars and other creative ways to keep us working. Definitely, these studies hone my skills to make me job-ready.

    Placements

The UG interns at our college are currently offered the package of 2 lakh 40 thousand rupees for a 12 month internship at our hospital. We don't have placements as such as in non medical colleges. After UG internship another entrance exam NEXT is given and the students are given choices of departments according to their score. And once they're posted in the hospitals they're given monthly stipends depending on their subject and the hospital.

    Value for Money

My college charged 18,000 for admission. They don't charge per year. That's the only money we need to pay. Yes, these studies are worth more than what we've paid for.

    Campus Life

Our college area scales about 10 acres. We can engage in almost every sport. Be it badminton, volleyball, throwball. We have an amazing basketball court and a large cricket ground. The greenery is something most cherished. All the events are conducted in the cellar and the huge and awesome auditorium making it the best campus life one can enjoy in our state. Location is Secunderabad, pretty safe. And the hotspot for handling all the emergencies of the city.

    Others

Our college now stands at 16th rank in the country (By India Today). And was also ranked 18th nationally in Outlook India. My college has the distinction of being the first open heart surgery centre of combined state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. I'm fortunate to be a student of GMC

Have a question related to Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Secunderabad ?

I'm from Hyderabad. I secured AIR 817 in NEET this year (2025). I would like to join the colleges of Hyderabad. I'm confused between AIIMS Bibinagar, Hyderabad and Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad. My question is : If I join AIIMS Bibinagar, then will I be considered as a local of Telangana for the NEET PG exam. I know there is a benefit at AIIMS that we'll get an internal quota for PG in the INICET exam. But my concern is I shouldn't lose the local quota of NEET PG exam. Please let me know if I'll be considered as a local of Telangana if i study at AIIMS Bibinagar. Thank you

    Hello,

Kudos on achieving an outstanding AIR 817 in NEET 2025! That’s an impressive accomplishment. In response to your question, if you enroll in AIIMS Bibinagar, you will be regarded as a central institute student rather than a Telangana state quota student, as AIIMS operates as an autonomous body under the central government. In Telangana, for NEET PG counselling, the local candidate status for government quota PG seats is based on where you studied MBBS and your residency/domicile status according to the regulations set by the Telangana state counselling authority (KNRUHS).

Typically, to qualify as a local for NEET PG under the Telangana quota, you must have completed your MBBS at a college associated with KNRUHS or Dr. NTRUHS, such as Gandhi Medical College.

Therefore, if you enroll at AIIMS Bibinagar, you might not qualify for the local quota of NEET PG in Telangana, since it is not affiliated with KNRUHS. You will, nonetheless, become qualified for the AIIMS internal quota in INICET for PG programs in all AIIMS institutions, which is an important benefit. If maintaining local quota eligibility in NEET PG Telangana is your goal, Gandhi Medical College would be a more secure option. However, if you consider INICET and central counselling alternatives, AIIMS Bibinagar provides a respected and well-equipped setting.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Got 291 in Neet 2025 do I have any chance for indira gandhi medical college and research centre puducherry If I'm NOT a resident of puducherry? general category Unreserved

    Hello Aspirant,

With NEET 2025, you got 291 marks and you belong to the General (Unreserved) category with no Puducherry domicile, which means your chances of getting IGMC&RI, Puducherry via All India Quota (AIQ) is extremely low. From previous years results, the AIQ cut off to get IGMC&RI's General quota is 550+. Moreover, even for state quota (for Puducherry residents) the cut off also was much more than 291. However, you can consider:

    • Private/deemed universities
    • Management/NRI Quota seats (if you have funds)
    • BDS or allied health sciences courses as an option.
