Rajadhani Institute of Technology and Science Palakkad is a self-financing college established in 2010. It is a private college established in the Palakkad district of Kerala. RIST Palakkad offers engineering, architecture, management and business administration courses such as diploma, B.E/BTech and MBA courses. Students can choose their desired specialisation as per their future goals and aspirations. 

RIST Palakkad is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Thiruvananthapuram. RIST Palakkad has a total enrolment of 634 students and employs 77 members of the teaching faculty to support the learning of those students, hence it has an optimum student-teacher ratio. To be eligible for diploma courses, candidates need to have completed their 10th/SSC examination from a recognised institute in India, for BTech courses, students require a 10+2 examination from a recognised institute Similarly, for MBA, those who have completed their bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 years duration are eligible.

The admission process in RIST differs from course type. There are three principle streams through which B.Tech programmes are offered in different institutions. Students need to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) or the Kerala Engineering Admission test KEAM to be considered for BTech admissions. 

RIST Palakkad facilities include boys and girls hostel, medical room, library, sports facilities, IT Infrastructure, cafeteria, auditorium, transport facilities, laboratories, convenience stores, bank/ATMs, guest room, club, and modern classrooms. Additionally, a placement cell is also available on campus to provide the students with job opportunities.
