Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College, Bongaigaon Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College is situated in the Bongaigaon district of Assam, India. Those students coming into its environment are admitted on both merit and choice. This is an NAAC accredited institution having closely maintained the standard of the actual model. The condition for undergraduate programs is the successful completion of 10+2 classes from a recognized board. Here, there are two types of BA programs: BA (General) or BA (Honours) in various subjects. A student with 10+2 passing in any stream can apply for BA (General) programs.

In BA (Honours) programs, a student is eligible after passing successive examinations in any stream with 50% marks. Since the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Art still has to undergo any entrance examination procedure conducted by the college for the selection of candidates, the sole merit of the selection is the distribution of a merit list that is framed on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2). 

Application Process

1. Obtain the Application Form: Potential candidates may collect the application form from the college office or download it from the college website address.

2. Fill up the Application Form: The applicant should ensure completion of all parts of the form. Select the correct program (BA General or BA(Hons)) and indicate the chosen subjects.

3. Attach Required Documents: The following documents must be attached to the application form:

• Attested copies of mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard examinations;
• Pass certificates of both 10th and 12th;
• Character certificate from the last attended institution;
• Caste certificate if applicable;
• Recent passport-sized photographs. 

4. Application Submission: The duly filled application form along with all above requisite must be submitted in person to the admission department within the prescribed deadline. In case of submission through post, ensure that the application reaches the college much earlier than the last date. 

5. Merit List Publication: The college will prepare a merit list based on the performance in 10+2 examination and publish it. The same will be displayed at the college notice board and might also be displayed on the official website.

6. Document Verification: Candidates getting selected shall be called for the verification of documents. CARRY AND SHOW THEM THE ORIGINAL COPY OF ALL THE DOCS.

7. Payment of Fees: After confirmation of their documents, the selected candidates can pay the admission, so far as college fees, within the stipulated period to reserve their seats.

8. Orientation: Selected students will require to explore the orientation program starting from the beginning of the academic year.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA (General): This is a program designed for those who have passed their school-leaving examination in 10+2 with a stream that opens up education based on a number of arts subjects, thereby facing the option of studying across different disciplines. The admission process is a cut-off of the percentage, as above 50% from successful pass percentages with the merit list sequence for seat allocation.

BA (Honours): The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College opens more specialized programs for BA-(Honours) in subjects like Assamese, Education, English, Political Science, and Arabic. So, for these specialized courses, the eligible candidate must have passed the above-mentioned level with 50% at least. Allocation to students having higher marks in the relevant subject will be based on merit at 10+2 level, which attracts higher competition for such programmes.
