The curriculum felt outdated in some subjects, and real industry exposure was limited despite promises. Overall, academic support and mentorship could be much better.

The placement opportunities at Chandigarh University are decent but vary a lot by course and performance. Some students get placed in top companies with good packages, but for many, the offers are average and mostly from mass recruiters. The university invites a large number of companies, but core jobs are limited, especially for non-technical fields. The placement cell does provide support like training and mock interviews, but overall, it’s a mixed experience — not bad, but not excellent either.

Our college follows the Anna University curriculum. The faculty are friendly, but they won’t push students to learn new things. Their teaching skills need to be improved. The pass percentage is around 80 to 85 percent. From my view, it doesn't make students ready for the industry.

Around 80 percent of students are placed in campus placements. The highest package is 10 lakhs, and the lowest package is 3 lakhs. The top recruiters are Java-based companies. Companies like Zoho, Wipro, and small startups and small-scale companies visit our campus.

MCA department faculty is highly qualified and experienced. They are helpful and polite in terms of academics. The course curriculum is outdated, and it has no correlation with the present industry trends. Limited exposure to practical industry or practical training is incorporated in the academic system.

Placements for MIET Meerut for the MCA course are not too encouraging, particularly when compared to branches such as Textile Engineering, which is the strength of the college. For MCA students, the placement percentage is quite low, and the positions offered are mostly in small-scale IT companies or support staff. If you are particularly seeking good placement opportunities in IT, you might have to do extra work through off-campus drives or individual skill development.
