As a final-year Mechanical Engineering student at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), I’d say the campus is well-planned, clean, and has a good vibe overall. Our Mechanical Engineering department is pretty well-equipped — the labs like Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and CNC are modern enough for solid practical learning. Classrooms are spacious, usually equipped with projectors and smart boards, which makes the lectures a bit more engaging. The library is honestly one of my favorite places on campus — it’s huge, quiet, and has everything from textbooks to research papers, plus good online resources. Hostel facilities are decent too, with Wi-Fi, clean rooms, and enough space to feel comfortable.Overall though, PIET provides a really supportive environment if you're serious about learning and growing in your engineering journey.

I can confidently say that my academic experience has been very positive. The institute maintains a strong academic curriculum that is well-aligned with industry needs. The faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and always encourage practical learning along with theoretical concepts. Regular workshops, seminars, and industrial visits have helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.While there is always scope for even more advanced industry exposure and research opportunities, overall, the academic environment at PIET fosters growth, innovation, and professional readiness. I feel well-prepared to step into the engineering industry, thanks to the solid foundation I have built here.

placements, especially for core branches like Mechanical Engineering, the opportunities are moderate. While companies do visit, most of them are from IT, service sectors, or non-core industries. Core mechanical companies are fewer, and the salary packages offered are generally on the lower side. In short, PIET provides a solid foundation academically, but if you are focused strongly on core Mechanical Engineering placements, you might need to put in extra effort beyond what is offered on-campus.

I wasn’t very happy with the curriculum and the topics covered. At the time of admission I was told that the course will introduce us to real life business scenarios, connect with industry experts but that wasn’t done.

The course did not offer job placements. So we did not get any placement support. However we were told that we would be connected to industry experts, we will be connected for internships but that was also not done.

The college has a Wi-Fi free all over the campus. The labs have good infrastructure and the classrooms are nice. The college has a library with lots of books. I am a day scholar so I don't know much about the hostel but my friends who are staying in the hostel talk about the food in the mess being nice.
