In my 4 years of B.Tech education, I stayed for 3 years in the college hostel and felt very comfortable and safe there, but they have a lot of restrictions which were a bit hard to accept but all the remaining facilities were good. Medical facilities are available.

For our batch and the junior batches, our college was affiliated with JNTU Kakinada University, but now, it is an autonomous college. Our college maintained a good procedure for students like mentoring (faculty takes care of some particular students).
Placements
I have heard that some of the best companies provide packages of maximum upto 12 Lacs per annum including Thought works company. One student got placed in that company. Embedded engineer and software developer are the roles offered.

College placement is good only and needs the improvement to focus more on placement drives . Almost every student got the opportunities to perform in placement drives . The average salary offered is 3-4 LPA CTC which is too low.

I had studied chemical engineering. There are highly qualified permanent faculty. Some faculties have left recently, so the subjects are being taught by guest faculty who have less experience. The curriculum of study is good, the college provide one month time for intership and training in industry.

Placement were started at the last months of the final year in which two core companies visited in chemical engineering and few companies of sales. 4 students out of 13 got placement who got package of 2-3 lpa. The highest package was of 9 lpa in Mechanical engineering and electronic and communication branch in BHEL.

Location of college is very good considering the climate as it is situated in hilly area. But it also have its disadvantages that there are not much companies nearby, so less companies visit in college. Students can engage in the departmental fest, annual fest and sports event organised in college.
