The only thing that attracts students to the college is the infrastructure. With rooms that are not short of any 5-star hotel, the hostel can surely pack a punch against any average hotel from a tier 2 city. Although there are minor inconveniences that are common in any other hostel in India, it surely stands out among the rest. The mess, sports, and medical facilities are top-notch in the hostel, with some work required on the college side for the football field. The hostel is well-equipped with fire alarms, power backup, and water coolers everywhere.

The faculty of this college is relatively mixed, with a few good ones and mostly the very bad ones. Teaching quality of the faculty members is average at the very best, with a few good ones on a very good day. In the end, it's the material provided by the faculty members that help us study for the exams. Some of the course selections are questionable, with many not having any real-life application in the industry.
Placements
The top companies include Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Dell etc. The top roles offered in our course have been Software Engineer only, with some consulting ones offered by big 4 companies such as Deloitte, EY, PWC, with KPMG. Average package is 11 lpa.

For the CSE department, there is a separate building in IIT Kanpur where only CSE students can sit. In the building, there are around 180 desktops with i5 processors and 12th generation, and the labs are fabulous for my department. The quality of hostels is good, but only in the first year. After the first year, you will find that Hall 12 is good; other halls are not, and in Hall 12, you will find a single room after the first year but not others. But the quality of food after 1st is average and tested also.

Most teachers are helpful, but not all teachers, although they are well qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is excellent , but yes, only a few teachers. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are literally tough, not easy. If you are at IIT Kanpur, then you have to study in any case.
Placements
In my department, the placements are very good, with around 95 to 98% of students placed, and the average package is around 40 LPA, with the highest being 3.2 crore, which is international. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Optiver, Quadeye, Rubrik, Tower Research, Google, Microsoft, etc. Internships are also excellent; around 90% of students get an internship every year, and the same companies come for internships as I have written down above. The top roles are HFT and SDE.

The exams are not very easy, so one may not pass with just one night of studying. We have four-month semesters in which weekends are off, so we have to cover a huge syllabus in a short period of time, which increases the difficulty level.faculty are in friendly manner
