College Infrastructure
BIT Sindri is well equipped with different kinds of labs and workshops that are needed (although alot of buildings are renovated),the campus is very green and clean , for sports and other activities grounds are there, hostels are also well maintained but no WiFi is provided by the college.
Academics
Classes along with labs and workshops are regularly conducted as in any other colleges. The curriculum is updated . The professors are well qualified to enable us to understand better.Regular tests are also conducted.
Placements
The college 's placement scenerio is good but not upto the mark . Total of 318 students got placed this year. Highest package offered was 10.12 lpa by Honda r&d and average package is of 4.8 lpa. Students here mostly opt for government jobs

I am studying mechanical engineering as it is the best department in jgec. The teachers are very supportive and knowledgeable. They help us whenever we go to them. From solving problems to Guiding us they do it all. But the curriculum needs to be updated to cope with the industrial needs.

96% of the total students are placed in different companies like TCS, CTS and other start up companies. All students go for industrial training and internships in various companies like DSP, NTPC, Mahindra and Mahindra, BSNL etc.

The classrooms are big. We have a wifi facility but it is not that efficient. The college has two big libraries with many books. The college promotes sports and recreational activities. We have a sports complex called pavillion and many sports grounds also.

I am doing B.com. from MSU . The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Some are helpful and supportive and some are not. The theoretical knowledge given to us is very good but curriculum lacks in theoretical knowledge.

The placement process will start from 3 year only . All the campus drive will be offered from 3 year only to gain the experience and skills.

I am a first yearite in B.Tech CSE and the first year was awesome as in the beginning we had an orientation weekand after that we had the foudation programmes and then the studies had begin.
