I gave the entrance exam JEE-Main to go into my college. Then I applied via the CAP round , and according to my preferences I was allocated Thadomal Shahani Engineering College. There was no interview process that was followed. I choose Computer engineering as I liked coding and wanted to explore more of it. Labs are good and well maitained. Even the classrooms.
Academics
The Course Curriculum is good, just that in India theory is given more preferrence over practical. So, that's it. Also, there are two periodic tests and one semester exam every semester. Other than that, there are Practical and Oral exams.
Placements
The placement scenario was good enough. Almost 90% of students good placed through mass recruitment. The major companies which visited the college were Accenture, Mastek, Seclore, LNT, Delloite, etc. The average package is 3,00,000-3,50,000 Rupees.
Campus Life
The college has many events like dance, cultural, technical festivals, and sports. There were ample opportunities to explore my inner talent. There are facilities like auditorium for the cultural fests.The cultural fests is Trifles and technical fests are ISAAC, Technext and Managerial Fests are Carma, Speaktacular which are organised on campus. They are pretty big as whole college would participate. The organization and the college authorities were cooperative.

Good infrastructure. The lab facilities in the college are very good, Each lab is equipped with computers and all the necessary digital and electronics equipment. Each classroom has a projector and free wifi is available in the college. There is Library, Gymkhana, Common Room and Canteen as well.

The teaching staff is very connected to the students and students approach them freely for guidance. Teaching is very good as there is students and teachers interaction. Along with academics, mentoring sessions help each students individually to develop our personality as an overall person.

Since last few years it has seen gradual rise in the Training and Placement activity. Various Internships are also provided by the college and are engaged in various placement activity. The salary packages offered are between 2.5 - 3.5 LPA.

The curriculum was just good and it is following the curriculum of the Jawaharlal Nehru technological University Kakinada so it's some what back from the University or national institute . The study which we having is little bit insufficient for jobs.

The placement are getting but not the good jobs just a normal job but in recent years our college was trying their level best to bring mnc s for students and for welfare of next generation students of the kits .

I am blessed to study in cmr engineering college. Our college have all the necessary equipments such as projectors in every class room and all equipments in laboratories and well interesting books in library. They are very well maintained. All the living spaces are good and the food is hygienic.

I am studying b.tech 3rd year information technology. The faculty were very supportive and friendly. The best thing in the cmr is the placements. Yes, the curriculum is updated and it includes all recent developments in the curriculum like AI and ML.

The Trainers in the placement cell is very supportive. The highest salary offered is 11 lakhs and it is offered to cse student. The average salary offered is 4-5 lakhs. The companies like cognizant, wipro, capgemini etc comes to drive. Yes, our college is very supportive.

There will be technical events handling every week but there is no non-technical events handled other than annual day. it is located in medchal. It is safe because we have a first aid cell and a ambulance though it can handle emergencies.

Infrastructure is good and commendable. All the necessities are looked after. All the equipment and facilities are made available to us. Classrooms are really big and spacious. There are total 13 blocks and 5 Boys hostels and 2 Girls Hostels. Hostels are also neat and spacious. The food provided in the mess is tasty and proper hygiene is maintained. WiFi facility is available to us in the hostels for 24*7.
Academics
Teachers for senior classes are qualified but teachers for first year are not experienced at all. The college is affiliated to I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and exams are conducted by PTU itself. Our curriculum was updated in the year 2018. Here studies are good but self-study matters the most.
Placements
College offers good placements with good packages. Almost 90 percent of students were placed last year and highest package was 35 Lakhs Per Annum and lowest was 3 Lakhs Per Annum. All you need to do is maintain at least 7 CGPA or above. College is very supportive throughout the placement process. More than 600 companies visit the college each placement session.
Campus Life
College life is fantastic and and amazing. We love to take part in various activities and events like hackathon, quiz, jam sessions, debates etc. I've made many friends here. Teachers and Non-teaching staff both are very supportive. Location is safe and is easily accessible to all the resources like hospitals, markets, malls etc.

The college is just modern-like with a beautiful layout. The classes are equipped with air conditioners and the building is functional with a centralised air conditioned system. The Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus. The library has a remarkable collection with a well-defined structure. There are large playgrounds and the sports facilities are duly available. There are many eateries to go to, and the food is hygienic and affordable. The smart boards are also installed in classes.

I am pursuing mechanical engineering due to my love for machines. The curriculum needs some updations, but ut definitely makes the students job ready. The teachers are highly experienced and qualified. The internal processes are smooth and there's more emphasis placed on research and practicality of the subjects, unlike some other colleges where rote learning is encouraged.

The recruitment drive is held in the college. The placements are sound with the average package being around 12 to 13 lacs p/a, which is a humongous amount and worthy enough to give a kick start to a career. There is a placement cell which is responsible for inviting big players of the market like Google, Facebook, Microsoft etc. Hence, the college is supportive in this respect. But, the placements should be more course friendly,as some courses' students don't have companies with their profiles.

The college has a beautiful campus. There are spacious lawns and clean work spaces. The location of the college is a bit depressing as it is isolated from the main part of city, but one would not feel any limitations inside the college. The support staff is cooperative and the teachers are the best mentors. There is a medical room to handle the emergencies. There are various societies in the college, like the dance society is pretty amazing, for the students to engage in. Sports is also good.

I am pursuing B.tech civil engineering here. And I am doing my degree here because the college is closer to my home and I am comfortable and satisfied with all the available facilities. The quality of placements at our college is good, pleasant and fair enough for all the students. The average salary offered offered was about 2-2 5 per annum (in my opinion). The percentage of students that are been placed are about 40 % maybe. In my opinion maximum placements are gained by the engineering and the management departments. The placement process was good and pleasant for me. The college is very supportive and helps out the students.

The college life is great and full of enjoyment. The campus has many kinds of facilities like sports ground, badminton, basketball and tennis courts, stationary and grocery shops, 4 hostels, 2 cafeterias, etc. Each and everyone can be involved or participate in all kinds of activities in the campus. The teachers and students relationship is good and they support everyone here. Yes the college is ready to handle any kind of emergencies.

Infrastructure is average, not as good when compared to other Government Institute. Also it is very small roughly 8 acres. We don't have any sports ground that means we don't have any space for sports. Neither there is active participation of our college in sport events.

Academics are also average. Being a government Institute , teachers don't have full time to teach us rather they are busy doing official work assigned by government. Some suck in teaching while other seems to be disinterested.
Placements
If your primarily goal is placement then you are not welcome here because 1 or 2 companies visit here and on top of that they will offer you very less package somewhere around 1.5 lac per annum. If you want a good job then you will have to apply off campus.

The internal processes are smooth and the attendance is strictly followed.

Though the college has a very good infrastructure but it is situated at a place where there are very few restaurants and cafes, leaving very less options for the students to hang out with friends after classes. The worst feature is that there is predefined dresscode which needs to be followed in the college . The best feature is that the college has both cultural and educational societies that cover the interests of all the students . There's a medical room to handle the emergencies.

Pondicherry University has an excellent infrastructure. It well includes Health Center, Shopping Complex, Multiple Laboratories, Sports arenas, WiFi, Smart classrooms etc. Apart from the play fields most of the university assets are well maintained. The roads were properly tarred, Garbage bins are fixed in adequate places and regularly cleaned. The university has a dedicated sanitary wing to ensure all in intact. The contributions of the sweepers (akkas) needs special mention.

I am pursuing MA History in this University. I think the syllabus of our department is itself unique. It covers all aspects in the history. Global History, Atlantic Slave trade were some of the papers offered by this department which makes itself different from other colleges. Syllabus are attributed in such a manner which gives more focus in the Ancient Indian History. We are blessed with the eminent and well qualified professors who are known around the globe.

The department of History in the Pondicherry University did not offers any job placements to its students. How ever, Most of the students are well talented due to the intense programs and strategies offered by this department. Majority of them qualified for the NET/JRF in the due course of their Post Graduation Degree.

Campus Life is extraordinary. One can enjoy a heterogeneous culture inside the campus as the students coming from all over the world pursue their seats here. The campus has no restrictions except in Drugs and Ragging. Teachers and non- Teaching staffs are very friendly and eager to help if we approach them. The Location is about 12 kilometers away from the Pondicherry City in a placed called Chinna Kalapet. The university beach (which is not a private beach) is located in front of the university

The first year departments are not very good.It's very old,it was made 95 years ago,and it still remains same with little or no maintenance at all.But the laboratories are good,at least they've minimum instruments for us to learn.
