College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is normal. There is 1 main and old building in the campus. But now there is 2 more new building also. Otherwise college provides normal facilities of library, canteen, playground but there is a big basket ball playground also.
Academics
Teachers are okay. Their teaching quality is also good. They mainly focused on completing syllabus of UGC. Otherwise they are well maintained too. But there are some teachers who helped alot. They are supportive too.
Placements
This is a College under vidyasagar University and a government college too... There is no facility of on campus recruitment. Because thete is no placement cell in the college. If you want a handsom job salary, you have to go or off campus recruitment.

In architecture it is average. About 60% of student placed in betech. Highest salary goes to 6000000 per annum. It goes in betech. Average salary is 1200000 to 1400000 per annum. Placement process is not so easy as if a student did effort then only he/she can get good placements.

Teaching method is presentable and easy to understand,e learning is used for better explanation and outcomes . teachers are bit strict about the schedules and test,but this is important for better results and progress of students. Overall faculty is quite well and experienced.

Placement cell is very active. All members of placement cell organises various activities abd intership opportunities for the students which is very helpful for preparing them to coming placement opportunities. Internship fair is also held where various Big companies are invited to present their interships offer to students. Placements for science student though is not possible at graduation level, but for other stream students, different placement opportunities come and they get selected.

Campus Life is quite well. Students encounter the peaceful environment and a healthy learning environment, where they can grow their personality. Student can modify and enhance their self interests and talents under the heads of cultural societies . Fests are organised by every department in the end of the year, where we get to learn different activities. Competitions are organised by the different societies both state as well as national level wise.

It does provide the students with many facilities and equipments in classrooms, labs and library but in terms of sports, no equipments are provided by the college . Also no Wifi is there . The hostels are also not very upto the mark but are clean and well-maintained. The food in the canteen is also okay but not very good quality.

Academics is the area where students totally shine and it is the prime focus of the teachers. The teachers make sure students grasp each lecture and take regular feedback from the students. The curriculum is also updated and students take up online courses to improve their knowledge and be job-ready.

The placement scenario of the college is not good at present. Last year, the placement percentage was 68 percent but the average package offered to students was only upto 3-4 lacs. Even the bright students could only grab a package of 5 lacs and that too from Computer Science branch. Other branches fave a tough time getting a job in on-campus placement.

Maitreyi College located in South Campus. It is an all-girls' college. It is beautifully built and is very renowned for having beautiful gardens and infrastructure. The laboratories are well-equipped. The library facilitates the students in every way. It has proper seating area and books of different domains along with an e-centre where students can use internet sources to study. Currently there is no hostel facility available. Living spaces are always kept clean. Canteen serve hygienic food.

I am a student of B.sc Life Sciences. I have taken up this course as it has wide opportunities beyond and we can any pursue any subject in post graduation as this course facilitates basic knowledge in all fields of biology. It is a course which helps in overall development and integrated study. There is excellent faculty. Teachers guide and motivate us in every way possible. UG in life sciences doesn't makes us job ready but prepares us very well for higher studies.

There is a proper security in the time of fests and the union along with other staffs ensure safety of all the girls'. A very Wonderful College In Siliguri. The College has got Digital Classes, Indoor Hall to practice Demo Court Room, and for Functions. The main problem is that the College is located much inside the Main Road where the public transport is not available, so we have to walk around 1KM.

The teaching quality is awesome and the teachers are also very much experienced and have Great Knowledge of the Subject. Their main focus is on that the students understand properly and not on Syllabus Completion.
