College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of this college is very good and maintained . It is surrounded by plants &trees. It is very big as compared to other allcolleges , located in the centre & everything is very nearby.
Academics
Mcm dav is more academically focused rather than fun and exposure & it is very strict about attendance and academics even u can’t miss the lectures and also they don’t even allow to leave before 12pm.
Placements
Placements are average to decent. Placements are only for those students who score 75% above. I didn’t feel like they provide placements. Placements are nothing as such and Not so good opportunities.
Campus Life
The life of the campus not so chill vibes , everything seems boring. Many rules and regulations are made on many things like u can’t leave college before 12pm, can’t use phone except cell phone area.
Anything Else
Only academics and infrastructure is good , amazing. Teachers are fine and nice .
It was good
College Infrastructure
Since Jamia's foundation was laid nearly 105 years ago, and has since been expanding, the infrastructure is a bit on the older side with some things broken and some things still under development. The classrooms are not advanced like one would require nowadays but it has potential. The washrooms need a lot of development and subsequent care for one to be able to use it comfortably. Although, the lawns, libraries, hospital and sports complex are well developed. Our Wi-fi is also very slow at times and computer labs could use new equipments. Maintenance is also a big issue, even if efforts are put in the development of Jamia, there is no aftercare which leads to their overall collapse. Hence, as a student I would say I faced a lot of problems because of these issues but they are not unbearable, however, there is a lot of scope for improvement.
Academics
I joined Jamia in 2023 and graduated in 2026, so my syllabus was not updated because jamia adopted NEP from 2024 which unfortunately left me with a redundant and outdated syllabus for 3 years. Most of the teachers were good at teaching their subjects with an expectation of a few. Overall quality is good enough but could use more efforts on the part of both, the students and the professors. We do have some societies which we can join and learn some practical work, which I did and it helped me with some of my subjects. In conclusion, i can only provide an insight on the academics before NEP was adopted which might not be much help but in my experience, again there is a lot of scope for improvement.
Placements
Before my batch, I heard there were some placements and there still are insome fields such as mba and engineering but my department was not good at the said activity. As a matter of fact, we only got some internship offers from companies. This is an area which needs to be focused on a lot for jamia to keep up its reputation as a Central University.
Campus Life
There are a lot of issues with Jamia, but my campus life experience has been the more good than I could have ever asked. I met a lot of different people learning something for each one. My favourite places are the campus lawns and zakir hussain library where I have spent a majority of my time. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby where one can go with their friends. There are a lot of extracurricular activities such as students clubs, societies and courses throughout the year. Some inter-department and inter-faculty matches are also held along with other competition. Overall, my campus life as a student has been the best experience of my life and I would suggest jamia not for the academics but for the exposure and experiences of life.

It’s a good college if your goal is interact with top minds
College Infrastructure
As old as it gets, the college still has old infrastructure, the same old buildings. The campus looks it hasn’t been updated since the last 15 years. The classrooms are old school, they do have modern tech but still not new.
Academics
The faculty is here well experienced, in this department especially, everyone’s skilled in their own course. You could ask your doubts and whatsoever and you’ll find answers. They are patient enough, if you’re vice versa. The curriculum needs to be updated, it’s the stuff that’s not trending anymore, so a lot more requirements.
Placements
Currently with job market, I think this college does a great job in managing it. Placements are completely based on the student and then comes the college. There are good placements for the talented ones out here, working for it is essential.
Campus Life
There’s nothing tbh. People come here with a lot of expectations. The best is, the vast campus, enough spots to jus sit and bunk, but not on a sunny day, because half of the spots are open to the sun, the worst is we don’t have a bakery of some sort. We had until last year it got closed down, thay too it was barely surviving. The location is lovely, you have so many cafés around here, if you got good friends and mainly money to throw around every week, yes this perfect for you. It does get a lot dark after 6pm and it’s very quiet.
