R.G Kar Medical College & Hospital was established in 1886 at 161, Bowbazar Street as “The Calcutta School of Medicine” which was later changed to “The Calcutta Medical School” in 1887 in the month of August. The name of the institute was later changed to R.G Kar Medical College & Hospital in 1948. RGKMCH is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. For MBBS programme-
Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS programme need to appear and qualify NEET (UG).
