Better academic with extra curricular activities. Ragging free, proper laboratories, big library, well maintained hostels, no sports Centre but inter college intra college tournament organise frequently, no smart boards but projector use.. Living place not properly clean but foods are proper hygienic..

Around 250 students are there in each batch..after completion of final year college provides students with internship, the salary offered is Rs 32,000 per month. Roles of this course is doctor. After completion of MBBS we can get a job in private and government hospital with high salary..

Professors are knowledgeable and experienced. Both practical and theoretical knowledge is prioritized. Most cases are handled under professors but some less serious cases are given to final year students.

The campus area is huge and so are the buildings. The classes can accommodate more than 100 students. Hostels are nearby, but the mess is average. Power cuts happen frequently. CCTV camera usually don't work specially at night.

Mostly faculty members priorities practical work requiring long hours and sometimes even night shifts. The internship offers adequate stipend. College staff is helpful and provide proper guidance to students.

Academics in RG Kar is good. Most of the professors & teaching staffs of various departments are approachable. Patient rush to our institution is very high, so clinical postings in wards provides enormous opportunities to learn from different cases. Hands on training experience is up to the mark.

It is a Government run institution in Kolkata, so the infrastructure both in College & Hospital is of top notch level. The various Medical and Surgical departments are equipped with advanced instruments & machines. It is the first Government hospital of Eastern India, where the first Robotic knee replacement surgery was done a few years ago. Laboratories are well equipped too. We have a huge library space, which can accommodate more than 300 people at a time. Some seminar and lecture rooms have smart boards too. There are some flaws too. Water logging in some part of the premises during rainy season worth mentioning. But over all, the infrastructure is good.

Campus life is good. Besides academics and clinical postings, students have multiple options to engage into various competitions, quizzes, academic & cultural fests. We have a gym in Boys' Common Room but it's not maintained well. One other flaw is, our institution lack a playground. So various Sports competitions are organised in nearby playgrounds, outside the campus.

After MBBS, housestaffship job in different clinical departments, is available for some of the pass-outs. So Others usually go for RMO ships in private hospitals. A large number students opt for preparation of NEET PG after completing MBBS.

The fees is very minimal. 4500/- for each of the 9 academic semesters. Probably one of the lowest among the Medical Colleges across the country. The College provides a decent stipend of approximately 32k p.m. during the compulsory rotary internship.
