RNS First Grade College, Channasandra Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has 2 playgrounds of 130*110 meters and 100*60meters. In that, we have a Volleyball court of 9*18 meters, a Kabaddi court of 10*13 meters, a Kho-Kho court of 29*16 meters, a Football ground of 90*120 meters, and a Throw Ball court, and also we are having an indoor court that is Shuttle Badminton, Table tennis, Chess, and Carom Board.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college library was established in the year 2012 in Bangalore. The library has adopted an open access system for users to have easy access to the library's resources and automated with Koha software, and users have been provided with bar codes and the circulation of issue/return of books. The status of the availability of books and project reports can be searched through the OPAC. Our library is a knowledge center and it has all facilities required information in the form of a book, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers and internet access for e-journals and e-books, etc., Apart from these, the library houses a growing collection of reference books, journals and back Volumes of journals, Previous year question papers, and competitive exam books, also provide interlibrary loan for the benefit of students and teachers of the college, as well as information research, general reference and current awareness, computerized cataloging. Our library has a book bank facility for the students, and it is extended to SC/ST.

The college has an Alumni. Your relationship does not end when you complete your Undergraduate Course in the institution. Like all good relationships, it continues long with many objectives. Creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to an institution’s success. Good alumni relationships bring many benefits to both the institution and the alumni. With multiple objectives, the RNSFGC Alumni Association started and continues to contribute to the development of the student community and society. Alumni Meet is an event celebrated every year to give alumni an opportunity to renew bonds with past classmates and cherish their relationships with faculty and staff. Alumni Meeting is a networking event conceived to exchange experiences and share ideas with current students, faculty, and staff. Along with that, Alumni engagement in the institution is diverse, like conducting the Blood donation festival, Mock Interview sessions for our students, Judges for many management activities, etc.

The College Training and Placement Cell is functioning with the main objective of bridging the gap between The Corporate and the Institute. Through the Placement cell, we are conducting the Training classes for the students to make them job-fit with all essential skill sets. “Campus Recruitment Training” (CRT), “Competitive Exam Coaching”, “Banking Exam Coaching” etc., are some of the training modules we are having. The Training Assistance to students is outsourced to reputed agencies and institutions that also closely monitor the progression of the students. Training modules cover various areas of soft skills like communication skills, critical thinking, analytical skills, team building, stress handling, and Resume building, etc. “Mock Campus Drive” is a unique initiative through which we involve the Alumni members of the college to conduct the Group Discussion, Technical Round, and HR round interviews. Add-on courses are the main focus areas for developing the domain-specific knowledge of the students. We offer add-on courses like Tally, Digital Marketing, and Advanced Excel to BCom and BBA streams, .NET, Python, Android, and Java programming to BCA students. Campus- Industry interaction programs are helping the students to get insights about the Corporate World. As a part of the Campus-Industry interaction program, we call the corporate and alumni members to meet the students and have interactions, and also we organize an Industry Visit for the students.
