RCP Roorkee: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Roorkee College of Pharmacy, Roorkee is one of the premier colleges of Pharmaceutical Education. This affiliated college was established in 2003 and is located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The PCI has approved RCP Roorkee for running various programs in pharmacy at different levels. This campus is spread over 2.5 acres with a total student enrollment of 265 and a faculty strength of 27. RCP Roorkee offers a co-educational setup where students from all walks of life flock in great numbers to fulfill their pharmaceutical aspirations.

The college aims at rendering a fully professional experience to the students and is thus engaged in providing varieties of facilities for overall development. It has well-equipped laboratories for pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmacology, providing practical hands on exposure for the students in the field of pharmacy. The library, which is the backbone of the college, has over 7,000 books stocked in it and has an ideal ambience, allowing both individual and group studies. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls with a capacity of 150 students each, having an objective of making the inmates feel at home.

RCP Roorkee offers a total of five courses in three degree levels in the branch of Pharmacy. The college offers full-time courses at D.Pharma, B.Pharma, and M.Pharma specializations in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Quality Assurance. Both B.Pharma and D.Pharma have 60 seats, and the intake capacity is flexible in case of M.Pharma specializations. These programs would provide them with proper knowledge and skills for working in the pharmaceutical industry.

Admission in RCP Roorkee Courses is based on different criteria. The Uttarakhand Technical University conducts a Central Admission Process for the B.Pharma and D.Pharma courses. Preference will be given to candidates who qualified in the GPAT at the time of admission to the first year of M.Pharma programmes. This is a national level entrance examination, and the result of this entrance serves as an important criterion for admission in Post Graduate programme in Pharmacy. The working of an active Training and Placement Cell has been established in the college, which aims towards rendering placement services to all graduating students. This cell will coordinate with different sectors of the pharmaceutical industry pertaining to marketing and sales, production, quality control and assurance, documentation and regulatory affairs, and research and development. On- and off-campus interviews will be arranged by the college to ensure good career prospects for students.
