RCP Roorkee Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-furnished Boy's hostel on its campus. There are four floors in the hostel. The hostel's capacity is 150 students. There is a guest room for parents without any charge. The mess facility is also available for students. There is a warden and assistant warden to look after the students. The medical facility is available 24 hours for the student. A College ambulance is available for the students in case of an emergency.RCP Boys Hostel There is a common room for the students where TV and indoor games like table tennis, carom, and chess are available for students. Outdoor games like cricket, volleyball badminton are also available for inmates. English and amp; Hindi daily newspapers, employment news, and magazines are available for the hostel inmates.

The college has a well-furnished Girls' hostel on its campus, it can accommodate 150 students. There are four floors in the hostel and students are staying year-wise on different floors. There are single, double, and triple-seated rooms available, depending on their choice. The residing students have comfortable airy rooms, 24-hour electricity, and water supply (Hot water in winter) all in clean, peaceful, and hygienic surroundings. The college has heart of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is not only the reputed faculty but also the rich and voluminous library which has more than 7000 books. The Library building is centrally air-conditioned and equipped with a computer, camera, etc. The library has an outstanding reading room with a large seating capacity and areas dedicated to both silent and group study. The library has its own Photocopier Machine and Scanner

The college has a sports facility for the student's indoor games like table tennis, carom, and chess are available for students. Outdoor games like cricket, volleyball, and badminton are also available for inmates.

The college has excellent state-of-the-art computing facilities and system analysis units in its computer center to cater to the needs of students. The computer center is well equipped with advanced computers along with all the necessary peripherals as well as requisite software. The computer laboratory is equipped with internet access and the latest software, giving the students access to the most up-to-date information at the click of a button.

The college has a cafeteria facility for the students and staff serving hygienic snacks and lunch, at very reasonable rates.

The College of Pharmacy, a well-trusted and reputed institute has turned out a large number of pharmacists over the last decade, and its alumni are spread across the world. The Institute desires to have every single alumnus very much a part of the institute even today.RCP takes a lot of pride in each alumnus. They are individual ambassadors for RCP (A Unit of RCP Universe, a minority institute). Thus they decided to constitute an alumni association. This alumni association will help both the institute and the alumni to get in touch with each other. The alumni can get any kind of information about the institute, fellow students, juniors, conferences, alumni meetings, featured alumni, and success stories of alumni through this association. They would like to share all that and more with every one of those who has fond memories of the institute.

The college has a PHARMACEUTICS LABS - A six-station dissolution testing apparatus, rotary tablet compression machines, capsule filling machines, coating pans, BOD, autoclaves, digital colony counters, laminar flow, shaker baths, ball mill, tube filling machines, volumetric bottle filling machine, friability apparatus, planetary mixer, sigma mixer, tray dryers, emulsifier, single station tablet machine, Zone readers, IR balance, bulk density apparatus, colorimeter, etc. PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY LABS - They are furnished with Abbe’s refractometer, digital auto melting point apparatus, electronic balances, atomic model sets, hot plates, hot air oven, Kjeldahl distillation units, vacuum pumps, polarimeter, deionizer, freeze drier, etc. PHARMACOGNOSY LABS - They have a heating water bath, compound microscopes, optical microscope, muffle furnace, distillation units, UV chamber, Soxhlet apparatus, columns, autoclave, etc.PHARMACOLOGY, HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY LABS - They have the binocular microscope, sphygmomanometer, hemocytometer, stethoscope, dissecting microscope, Eddy's hot plate, rotarod apparatus, actophotometer, Sherrington drums, electroconvulsiometer, human skeleton – articulated & disarticulated, cook’s pole climbing apparatus, respirometer, etc. INSTRUMENT LAB – Air conditioned lab for sophisticated instruments like HPLC, UV- Spectrophotometer, and six stations dissolution testing apparatus is within college premises. RESEARCH LABS – They have UV Visible spectrophotometer, digital nepheloturbidity meter, microwave, brook field viscometer, electronic balances, conductivity meter, flame photometer, micropipette, orbital incubator shaker bath, and projection microscopes. All laboratories are spacious, well-ventilated, and illuminated.

The college ATM machine is provided at the college gate of the college for all the students and faculty members of the college. A machine is available for all from 8 am to 8 pm. Services are regularly maintained so that the users do not face any difficulties. All types of cash notes are available with the AC facilities.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The College The lecture rooms of the institute are a delight for the students. They are airily illuminated and adorned with ergonomic seats, and whiteboard and furnished with curtains for maintaining a better atmosphere during summer. 

The college is connected by regular local bus service available from the Airport, Railway Station, and Bus Stand beside this the Institute provides its own bus facility to facilitate staff and student commuters.

The college has an active training and placement cell is provides placement assistance to all students graduating from college. The students are being placed in Marketing and sales, Production, Quality Control & Quality Assurance and Documentation and Regulatory Affairs, and research and development sections of the pharmaceutical industry, through on-campus and off-campus interviews. The college has actively taken the initiative to provide placement assistance/organize campus interviews (both in-campus and out-campus) for the graduating and post-graduating classes through the placement cell. To coordinate the placement activities, a placement cell has been formed under the supervision of staff and student coordinators to provide placement to all deserving students.
