24 MonthsMaster of Science (M.Sc) in Medical-Surgical Nursing is a two-year full-time program that is the postgraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Eligibility Criteria
- The Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife from Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council. This is mandatory and prerequisites to obtain eligibility from Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai.
- The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc.(.(N)/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate mark. [original marks statement of all years/semesters should be produced.]
- The candidate should have undergone the full time (regular stream not distance mode) Course in B.Sc. (N)/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post-Basic B.Sc.(N) in an Institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council
- Minimum one year of experience after provisional registration of the B.Sc. (N) course.
- Minimum one-year experience before/after Post Basic B.Sc.(N).
- Candidates from other states other than Tamil Nadu must procure migration certificate from previous University and Eligibility certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
- Eligibility certificate must be obtained before 31st May after provisional registration of the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
