Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies Pune is a maritime training institute established in 2002. Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies was established by Executive Ship Management Pvt Ltd, Singapore, and is recognised by the D.G Shipping, Government of India and affiliated with Indian Maritime University, Chennai. 

Samundra Institute Pune offers full-time degree and certificate courses for both pre-sea and post-sea training, including a Diploma, BSc and B.Tech. Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies admission is based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the IMU CET, followed by a personal interview and medical tests conducted by the institute. 

Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies provides in-house placement on ESM-managed vessels upon successful completion of the course. All facilities and infrastructure are provided to students, including a 240º field of view full mission bridge simulator, a liquid cargo handling simulator, a tank room with a FRAMO cargo pump, a chemical laboratory, an ECDIS simulator, and an LNG simulator.
