The Undergraduate Nursing Program is a broad-based education within an academic framework specifically directed to the development of critical thinking skills, competencies, and standards required for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy 2002. The undergraduate nursing education program prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizens by adhering to the code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social, and professional obligations so as to respond to national aspirations.
This program prepares nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuits of health, function in the hospital, and community nursing services, and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice.
Eligibility Criteria
There is a minimum eligibility criterion for the candidates who apply for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow (ABVMU) B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam that is as such :
1. The minimum age limit of the candidate must be 17 years to the maximum age of 35 years.
2. The candidate must have passed the 12th class from a recognized board or council of India.
3. The candidate must have passed 12th exams with Physics, Chemistry, & Biology with 45% of marks for General & OBC category & 40% of marks for SC & ST category of people.
- Maximum Age: 35 Years
- Maximum Age for PH Candidates: 40 Years
- Minimum Age: 17 Years
