36 MonthsGeneral Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year full-time course offered by the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty.
Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of Individuals of all ages, Families, Groups, and Communities, sick or well, and in all settings. It includes the promotion of health, the prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled, and dying people. GNM is a 3 years diploma program designed for aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing. The program teaches candidates how to care for individuals who are sick or have been injured to help them attain full recovery. GNM course is designed to prepare the students for the clinical approach of handling patients.
Eligibility Criteria
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
Admission Details
The selection process for GNM courses in Uttar Pradesh:
This academic year admission 2023-24 onwards admission through entrance exams can be conducted by UP State Medical Faculty. A merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ results in the entrance exam.
