B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics is a full-time, four-year graduation program in accordance with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.  The School of Economics offers a B.Sc degree with Major in Economics and Minor in Applied Econometrics with a total of 171 credits over eight semesters. The curriculum comprises of Major Courses (Domain-specific courses), Minor Courses, Multidisciplinary Courses, Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), and Value Addition Courses (VAC) along with mandatory Summer Internship Programme (at the end of the second year) with relevant NPTEL SWAYAM MOOC as optional courses along with regular courses. There is scope for getting a degree in Economics Major with a Minor in Financial Economics, as well. The Program will be flexible with multiple entry and exit points with re-entry options with certification as specified by NEP.


A student is eligible for certificate after completing 1 year (first two semesters) of study, a diploma after 2 years (first four semesters) of study, a bachelor’s degree after a 3-year (first six semesters) of study, and a bachelor’s degree with honours after a 4-year (with eight semesters) of study with research or without research.


Eligibility Criteria

Class XII (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Final year +2 students, who are expecting their results during 2025, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before July 15, 2025.

Admission Details

Final selection of the students shall be done purely on merit which shall be decided on the basis of academic performance in class 10 and class 12 examinations and Personal Interview.

College infrastructure is nice classrooms and labs are good.The hostels are good. The food was okay, but we needed to adjust as it was a hostel mess and all our sports games were good and the ground was neat. Medical treatment and a hospital are also nearby.

The University has all the necessary infrastructure, the classrooms have AC and also plug points to charge laptops or phones, the campus has wifi facilities which cover majority of the campus. The facilities and equipments are well maintained and updated with recents trends.

It's good. It has necessary infrastructure facility. Overall it's good for students. In class room we have projector, computer, microphone, boards etc. Yes living spaces are clean. Most of the time food is hygienic.
