SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital  Dharwad was founded in 1986 by Veerendra Heggade, President of SDM Educational Society. The institute has bagged 22nd rank in the dental category as per NIRF 2023 data. SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital offers various courses at UG and PG levels.
