Diploma in Civil Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).


Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% marks in aggregate with subjects Math/Mathematics, General Science, and English.

Note:-For State Board Candidates who have passed Mathematics (Code 71) and Science & Technology (Code 72) are only eligible for admission.

In case of ICSE & CBSE boards, a candidate passed with English, Science, and Mathematics is eligible for admission.

In case of CBSE candidates, who have passed CBSE Std X school level examination, shall not be eligible for diploma admissions, as the school exam is not treated equivalent to/at par exam of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Second-Year Admission

Candidate should be an Indian National domiciled in Maharashtra, fulfilling the conditions prescribed in rule 2.,1 and must have passed HSC Science or HSC (Bifocal/Technical) or HSC (Vocational/MCVC) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or SSC with 2 years duration ITI/ITI COE with 3 modules with appropriate specialization or its equivalent.

Candidates with HSC vocational (MCVC) or 10+2 ITI/ITI COE should have passed SSC (10th Std) or equivalent examination with subjects English, Mathematics (Code 71), and Science(Code 72).

Eligibility of the student for the specific branches of Diploma programmes shall be as per MSBTE guidelines prescribed in Rule 4.

Other than Maharashtra State, Candidates are not eligible for admission under CAP.

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra state candidates passing HSC Science / Vocational / Technical:

The candidate should be an Indian national & have passed with a minimum of 35% marks in HSC Science / HSC Science with vocational / Technical subjects with appropriate specialization.

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra state candidates passing the ITI:

Candidate should have passed ITI (CTS) / ITI (ATS) /ITI (MCVC) Examination and SSC with English, Math, and Science. Only 2 2-year and above course duration candidates are Eligible to take Admission in the Direct Second Year. The candidate has passed the ITI course with a minimum of 60% marks.

Admission Details

All admissions at VTC, Miraj will be only on a MERIT BASIS. DTE, Mumbai, conducts a CAP round for CAP seat admission (100%). Institute-level admissions will also be filled as per the DTE norms.
