For M.A admission in top colleges you need to give entrance exams, as only a few universities allow direct admission based on graduation marks and then also those universities release their cut-off for the M.A courses.

The entrance exams like DUET, IPU CET, BHU, JNUEE etc can get you top colleges for M.A. The eligibility criteria is that the student is required minimum of 50% aggregate in Bachelor's degree form a recognized university. And the reserved categories get 5% relaxation on their aggregate. Entrance exams like TISSNET which is conducted by tata Institute of social science is also good for M.A courses
