SNDT College of Arts and SCB College of Commerce and Science for Women, Mumbai, is one of the pioneers. Established in 1931, this women's college boasts an enriching glorious past. Located in the heart of New Marine Lines, Mumbai, this constituent college was established within SNDT Women's University. With a strength of 31 dedicated faculty members, the college maintains an excellent student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring personalised attention and quality education. SNDT College offers five programmes across arts, commerce, and science streams to cater to the varied interests and career aspirations of young women. The five full-time undergraduate programmes are offered by SNDT College of Arts and SCB College of Commerce and Science for women. These include the BA, B.Com, B.Sc IT in Information Technology, BMS, and BVA Painting in Visual Arts. The college admitted students into all these courses in a total of 1,517, although the capacity for some of the courses was higher, such as 120 for B.Com and 60 seats for B.Sc IT. All courses have been designed as three-year full-time courses so that the students get deep knowledge and practical skills in their chosen fields. 

The admission procedure varies for the course taken by the student. For the BA course, students are selected from a personal interview based on the mastery of English, merit, and a personal interview. B.Sc IT admissions strictly go by merit; the highest-qualified students are given the seats. The BMS programme may demand appearing for the GET Exam conducted by the university or participation in a college-organised interview. Some courses may also consist of additional tests as mandated by the university.
