24 MonthsBachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) and offered by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate should have passed B A/B Sc degree exams under the 10+2+3 pattern with one main subject and two subsidiary subjects from M G University or any other university recognized by M G University as equivalent thereto for admission.
- The minimum requirement for admission to a B Ed course is 50% marks(CGPA of 2) in part III or aggregate( i . e for part I + II + III )
- Candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward (SCBC) communities will be given a 5% concession in aggregate marks and whose annual income is up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs are eligible for reservation under this category.
- Candidates belonging to other eligible communities (OEC) will be given a 5% concession in aggregate marks.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Cast / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ ST) communities with pass, for graduation in the respective optional subjects are eligible for admission.
Admission Details
Admission shall be on merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University.
