    Academics

I am studying Biotechnology as I was interested biology. I chose biotechnology as it has wide applications in areas such as vaccine development, industrial enzyme production, fermentation technology, bioinformatics, waste treatment and sustainable bioproducts. The field is continuously evolving and offers good scope for research, innovation and higher studies. Faculties explain concepts clearly with examples and practical relevance. We are given opportunities to perform laboratory experiments, mini-projects and seminars which improve our understanding. teachers help us during practicals, assignments and project work. Our curriculum is partially updated. It covers the fundamentals very well, such as microbiology, genetic engineering, industrial biotechnology, enzyme technology, fermentation technology etc. However, it can be improved by including more content on recent developments like Advanced bioinformatics tools, CRISPR gene editing, Synthetic biology, Bioprocess automation, Industrial scale-up techniques etc. Yes the things which I am studying helps me to get a job ready. They teach us More industry-oriented practical training, Exposure to real laboratory instruments, Internship and industrial visits, Skill-based modules like data analysis, documentation and GMP practices.

    College Infra

My college is very good at maintenance when it comes to infrastructure and the equipments. My college has like about 2 blocks and a tech park which has a very good infrastructure with AC. My classroom has a smart board with a pen and very large space for the desk to accommodate. The library in my college is very large and can accommodate upto 20 people or more. Each department has separate laboratories which is equipped with many instruments and machines. Especially my department has many machines and equipments. Sport centre has like 2-3 floors which is used for like dance in first floor and games in last floor. Hostels are very clean and hygienic and people love to be there.

    Campus Life

Campus life in my college is generally pleasant and worth the experience, especially if you participate in activities, use the facilities, and engage with events. The environment is peaceful and suitable for focused study, though city access and some facilities might feel average to some. Location is slightly isolated from the city center. Cultural and technical events like Kalam, Velanthiruvizha, Onam, Annual Day, and Sports Day happen throughout the year. Students participate actively in clubs and competitions like Art club, dance club, singing clubs etc.

    Placements

In my department, the placement quality has been encouraging. For biotechnology students, around 70–80% of the batch secured job offers through campus drives, and many others found opportunities through internships and off-campus opportunities. The highest package offered in my batch was about ₹ 12 lakh per annum for some big MNC companies and the average salary was approximately ₹1 lakh per annum. The placement process was well-structured and supported by our placement cell, who organized training sessions, mock interviews, and company interactions. Overall, I felt the process was pleasant and helped me sharpen my professional skills, and the college was generally supportive throughout.

    Value For Money

My course cost 1 lakh 25 thousand plus bus fees so it was worth it as I am learning every bit of the companies and the industry which I am willing to get a job. It was quite a worth money to pay for my college.

    Academics

The college offers a thorough and well-designed curriculum that is tailored to each student's academic needs. To keep up with industry developments and new sectors, more multidisciplinary courses or updated content might be added.

    College Infra

infrastructure is good, with well-maintained buildings and facilities that support both academic and extracurricular activities effectively. But need to regularly update equipment and software to keep pace with advancements in technology and to ensure a seamless learning experience for students.

    Placements

The college meets the career goals of students from a variety of academic backgrounds by offering a wide range of placement options across many industries and sectors. To make sure that students have access to a variety of career alternatives, the pool of recruiters must be increased in size and diversity.

    Value For Money

Overall, the college offers fair value for the money, but there is room to improve this by making more information available, providing more financial aid options, demonstrating return on investment, putting cost-cutting measures in place.

    Academics

I have taken B TECH IT. Quality of teaching is good. The teachers are friendly and apart from the curriculum, there are more value-added courses (Banking exam training , UPSC , TNPC exam so on..). Special training courses are given for every department to run with the current stream on core subjects.

    College Infra

We have digital way of learning with smart class . Regarding the hostel, we have rooms for students where maximum of four will be sharing. On the whole considering other facilities, it can be graded as moderate.

    Campus Life

The faculties are full supportive friendly with the students. And students are so friendly to in case of emergencies the support of staffs always will be rendered to the students. Campus life is full of fun ,enjoyment ,safe and secure.

    Placements

The Quality of placement is good almost every student is placed in high-standard companies. And special training is given for placement students like verbal, aptitude skills, communication skills, deep-learning in core subjects so on.

    Value For Money

For management fee is high regarding GQ the fee is a fair amount. And I think it is worth to paying the money considering the facilities rendered.
