M.Des Human Centered Design - Batch of 2028-01-01
Academics
As it is a design college, it does not have a set academic course and has the option to select classes as per preference. This is a good set up for creative minds. While not a set course it is new and interesting.
College Infra
The college has 7 buildings and uses it to it's full advantage.
There could be improvement in the amount of labs they could open, like a glass lab or other provisions. Good amount of interaction with natural building.
Campus Life
Campus Life is active with fairs, concerts, festivals etc.
Placements
As I am in 3rd yr, it is hard to know for sure but through word of mouth I have heard that the college gets the best placements in the design industry and is well respected in the field for its graduates.
Value For Money
It is mostly worth its money but some changes could be made regarding the fees taken for interims as they only happen once in four years. The experience from the college is amazing and would say worth the money spent.

Academics
The Academics here at Srishti Manipal is definitely the biggest plus piont of the college. The faculty here are really experienced and they really like to put in an effort while teaching. They are also very supportive and you can learn a lot from them.
College Infra
The infrastructure is good at Srishti Manipal Institute. The campus is huge here and is covered by greenery. The classrooms are all modern and equipped with modern equipments like projector. The college has the basic facilities.
Campus Life
Our campus life here at Srishti Manipal was really fun. You will get to enjoy a lot with your friends and learn on experience. There are many fun projects and group activities that are a lot of fun and which also helps your personal growth.
Placements
The Srishti Manipal does not have any direct Placements program of their own. Although you can get placed through contacts. Generally many students don't want placements and want to star working on their own.
Value For Money
The Value for money at Srishti Manipal is ok I guess. You do get to learn a lot from teachers and most importantly with your seniors and even your batchmates but then again the fees is not that affordable. So overall ok.

Academics
The faculty at Srishti is knowledgable and a great boon to a student, especially theoretically. We have had tonnes to learn from our facilitators. They were invested in the student’s projects are able to guide us in their own individual ways. There is a severe lack of technical learning at Srishti because of the structure of the programme.
College Infra
As a student of film, the availability of equipment was always limited. The demand was higher than the availability. This in turn limited hands on experience at an institute level. There was a shortage of shooting equipment, lenses, lights, cameras and most students had to rely on their own DSLRs. The college does not have a hostel but PGs that are independently run, which are hit and miss, depending on the student’s luck. This is a big disadvantage.
Campus Life
Srishti, Bangalore didn’t have a campus. It had various buildings/ floors/ parts of campuses allotted to Srishti for different departments. Which had its pros and cons. Pros: specialisation courses happen in specific campuses or rooms which allow space to do one’a own work. Cons: Because courses take place in different campuses, interaction with students of other departments decreases drastically. So it can be a little bubble that one lives in.
Placements
There was no concept of placements through college directly. But the Srishti tag has its advantages to carry, especially for graphic designers. I started off by working with a couple of college facilitators and most of my contacts build from there.
Value For Money
It is a four year programme. The average yearly fee was 2.1 lakhs just for academia. Not accounting for the living expenditure, which would come to a little more than a lakh a year, on average.
