An amazing experience to start studying here in St. Andrews

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

It has all the necessary facilities that a student would need around them to study in. The campus does include a library , a basketball court and a gymkhana. The overall campus is clean including the canteen which provides hygienic and tasty food.

    Academics

I’m currently pursuing my BA in Mass Media and Communication. The quality of teaching is quite unique in St.Andrews, they not only teach what is given as per the syllabus but also bring in life experiences to class and also include us in various activities that helps us understand about a specific topic more.

    Placements

Students do get placed. Placements are all based on how you portray yourself and be yourself during the interview. The college name does matter but after that it’s how you prepare and go for it which makes you earn your package.

The college has a way of making you fall in love with it.

    College Infrastructure

Yes it does. It's not the best, but close. ThThe canteen is tiny but hygienic. However there are cats everywhere for some reason. The classrooms in the bms building are very clean and there is ample of light.

    Academics

The quality of teaching is good enough. But I'm not sure if the teaching makes us job ready. Because most of what we learn is theotical and can't be applied in the real world. But there are additional sessions and courses offered to help us get there.

    Placements

The placements given by our college are good. They put in a lot of effort to give us good placements. Many companies from various fields are invited to offer the students a chance at a placement. These companies are often MNC's that offer various facilities to the students incase a placement is acquired.

    Value for Money

My course costs about 20k per year and according to that I am definitely getting my moneys worth because our HOD ggoes out of the way to keep many sessions and stuff in general that increases our knowledge

    Campus Life

Our campus, though not bad, is very tiny. However the auditorium is one of the best in the city. It is on a league of its own.

    Others

I've grown to love this college with all its flaws.

    College Infrastructure

College has the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment a student should be looking for. It has its own labs, a nice library, and a gymkhana for both girls a the boys. we also have our own basketball court and a huge auditorium for cultural activities and events. The canteen I also pretty hygienic and serves the best maggi

    Academics

The quality of teaching is quite up to the mark. Its interactive and engaging for both students and the teachers. The college also offers extra curricular subjects and courses for one to hone and master the skills they wish to learn.

    Placements

the quality of placements are top notch and the process is quite smooth. roughly about 80-90% of the students are placed. Quite unsure about the salary package and the avg salary as it goes unannounced sometimes. The placement does a really good job for what they do.

    Others

its the way of life brother.

    College Infrastructure

No spaces for students to rendezvous at and converse. No accessible gender neutral facilities. Classrooms have white boards and projectors. Rather traditional classroom setup. Has an Auditorium. Unhygienic canteen area and also inaccessible. Fans dont work in the canteen half the time.

    Academics

I just got done with my BA EnglishLit. and Psychology. Excellent literature department professors. Mumbai university could do with better curriculums. No one studying under Mumbai university is job ready on their own.

    Placements

Pretty good companies the class has managed to pair up with. Around 10% of students were placed. Mostly Finance students get placed with higher paying jobs. The process is quite straightforward and the college has assisted throughout.

    Value for Money

<5000₹ for my course. Definitely! The teaching staff is quite good along with extra curricular encouraging students, with financial backing from college to some extent.

    Campus Life

No place to hang around. However sports facilities available to play. Basket ball court and volleyball court for open use. Great students, staff and non teaching staff. Great clubs and cells to join. Very safe location, residential area, also close to a hospital.

    Others

I've had some of the best 5 years of my life here. 10/10 would reccomend. You'll leave here with quite eventful memories.

    College Infrastructure

The campus is quite spaceous. But students should be allowed to use the lift especially for the forth floor. The liabray is really good for studying. The food is also good in the canteen. It's a good college overall.

    Academics

I'm currently studying bbi. N the faculty is good and approachable. N definitely what I'm studying will make me job ready in future. Some teachers are strict and some are fun. But it's all how you perform cuz that's the thing that will decide your future.

    Placements

The placements offered are quite good. I'm still not a graduate so I don't really know what the process is like and how much salary is offered. But I'm a medium to my class to send updates on internships and certificate courses.

    Value for Money

I paid nearly 22,000 for my course. And I feel it's too overpriced cuz my course has almost the same syllabus as the b.com and bms have. I feel the faculty should make learning more fun by encouraging to participate in different things.

    Campus Life

The campus is quite spaceous. There are plants and trees near the borders of the campus. The location is also amazing where there's not much noise.

St Andrews provided me with the perfect college life.

    College Infrastructure

The college has all facilities available, I.e. a big library, a gym, basketball court, etc. that is available for all students to use. The classroom are well maintained with a projector and speaker in each classroom

    Academics

I’m studying BMS with a major in marketing, because I want to pursue something in the field of marketing. The teachers are highly knowledgeable about the subjects they teach. Although the syllabus is a bit outdated, but since it comes from the Mumbai University, the college can’t do anything about that.

    Placements

I did not sit for placements, so I have no knowledge on the matter. But as far as I have heard, placements from St. Andrews are decent because the college has its own established placement cell that releases updates on a regular basis

    Value for Money

The course was a mere 15,000-20,000 per year. It is definitely value for money as education is one of the largest part of a family’s expenses nowadays.

    Campus Life

Campus life was amazing because of the various college events and festivals that took place on a regular basis. It located in the heart of Bandra making it very accessible, and close to the railway station as well.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Decent infrastructure, not something that would stand out from other colleges. Average classrooms, however good canteen and building. There is nothing outstanding about the college infrastructure in any way.

    Academics

Quality of teach is restricted to the professor's comfort zone. Will make students slog for nothing just to show that they are superior, however when explaining concepts, pretty good. Professors will give you tons of projects for minimum marks. It's almost as if you're in the industrial revolution where you had to work double shifts for minimum wages. It's mentally traumatizing.

    Placements

Placements depend on availability here in this college, they don't see whether your career line matches the job, highest salary package was 5000 inr. No information is shared whether other classmates have gotten help regarding placements.

    Value for Money

26000 inr, no I didn't feel it was my money's worth but it was cheap compared to other colleges so it's okay

    Campus Life

Students are only encouraged to attend lectures and nothing else. They give the false sense of encouraging extra curricular activities but in reality people who take part in that are pestered by the professors

    Others

As long as you strand lectures and stay off the radar in this college you are safe. The moment someone notices your presence, they make your life hell.

    College Infrastructure

The college equipment is decent, the library is great if you like reading or want study material. However if you want to learn how to use design software which may be included in the syllabus the computers cannot run these programs.

    Academics

The faculty at St Andrew's College is great, they are passionate about teaching the students. Most of the faculty is also from the industry, so you get first hand experience on the industry. This also varies on which course you are interested in.

    Placements

Placement for various courses are available through the placement cell in the college. Although some courses like Bachelor of Mass Media lack direct placements you can approach some of the faculty who will guide you in the right direction.

    Value for Money

The college fees are dependent on what course you end up taking, but overall reasonable. The courses are split into two, the aided and non aided courses. Most of the aided courses are much cheaper compared to the non aided

    Campus Life

Campus life is decent, there are fests and competitions that you can participate in and win for your college. A lot of extra-curricular activities are there quite often. The size of the campus is not big like other colleges but is adequate.

The college has a great infrastructure! There are many classroom which are very clean and the library is super big. The canteen is also very clean and the food is very tasty! The rest of the property around the college is also very clean

    Academics

I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in arts. The teachers are very supportive and they help us whenever the students need help or have to solve doubts. The teachers are all upto date on the topics they are teaching!

    Placements

The placements in the college are very good. There are alot of companies that come on campus to offer jobs. The percentage of students who get placed are moderately high and the placements don't depend on which course the students are from. Anyone can apply

    Value for Money

There is value of money. As a matter of fact self-financed courses tend to pay a little more than the other courses but obviously the facilities are the same for everyone and they all get the same treatment regardless of their fees

    Campus Life

Campus Life is super fun! Everyone enjoys a lot and there are also many eateries around the college. The college is located in a safe area and it can handle emergencies. As a matter of fact there are two hospitals near the college itself.

    Others

On a whole I really love my college! Over the past three years I've got to learn a lot and gain new experiences that I don't think I would have gained from any other college! I have also made a group of friends who are really supportive and are there for me whenever I need them!

    Academics

I'm currently pursuing business management studies . I feel the curriculum should be updated according to the recent trends and happenings globally . The teachers provide us with a lot of guidance and support

    Placements

Haven't contacted the placement cell yet. But I do believe that they give great opportunities for placements . With contacts from graduated students ,the average salary would be ranging between 3000- 10000. Our college is very supportive .
