the campus of Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC) is defined by its prime location on Senapati Bapat Road—the pulse of student life in Pune. It’s an urban, compact campus that trades sprawling lawns for a high-energy, vertical, and modern environment. The Vibe: The campus is shared with other Symbiosis institutes like the School of Economics, creating a diverse crowd. You’ll constantly see students huddled on the "Steps" or at the entrance, which serves as the unofficial social hub for everything from quick debates to event planning. The Infrastructure: The main building is a multi-storeyed structure with well-ventilated, smart classrooms. The SCAC Library is a favorite for many; it’s a quiet sanctuary stocked with extensive resources, including a digital section that’s crucial during exam season. The Food Culture: The canteen is the heart of the campus. While the in-house cafeteria offers reliable snacks, the true "campus" experience extends to the street food stalls right outside the gate, where most students grab a quick Vada Pav or Cold Coffee between lectures. Facilities: Despite being in a busy city area, the campus manages to include a well-equipped gym and an auditorium that hosts some of the city's most competitive inter-college events.
Vertical Life: Unlike sprawling university grounds, SCAC is an "urban campus." It’s compact and vertical, meaning your day often involves a lot of elevator rides or stairs between the high-tech classrooms, the faculty rooms, and the admin offices. This density creates a fast-paced, "corporate" feel that prepares you for professional life. The "Vishwa Bhavan" Connection: The campus is part of the larger Vishwa Bhavan complex. Students often mingle in the common courtyard areas, which creates a sense of being part of a larger global community beyond just the Arts and Commerce departments. Modern Amenities: The campus features a dedicated Audio-Visual Room and a state-of-the-art Computer Lab. While it lacks a massive sports field on-site, the college makes up for it with high-quality indoor facilities and access to the Symbiosis Society's broader sports infrastructure nearby. The Entrance Culture: The main gate isn't just an entry point; it’s a landmark. Because it’s located on the busy Senapati Bapat Road, the transition from the bustling city traffic to the academic zone is instant. Students often "hang out" right at the gate, making it the primary spot for meeting up before heading to the nearby Pavillion Mall or local cafes.
The "Simbi" Daily Experience Early Starts & Quick Breaks: Classes often begin as early as 7:30 AM. Because the campus is compact, you won't find yourself walking long distances between buildings; instead, your day revolves around the central elevator banks and stairwells connecting modern, well-ventilated classrooms. The Canteen Culture: The Simbi Eats canteen is the undisputed heart of the campus. It’s where students from all streams gather for affordable, diverse food options ranging from quick snacks to full meals. The "Steps" & Gate Scene: With limited sprawling gardens, the college entrance and the "steps" serve as the primary social landmarks. It’s a high-visibility zone where students meet to plan events or decide which nearby cafe on Senapati Bapat Road to visit next.
Fees is so less
There is a very but of a campus life
The college has good infrastructure with modern classrooms and updated computer labs. The library offers a wide collection of academic and reference books. The campus is clean, secure, and provides a comfortable learning environment for students.
The academic structure is well organized with focus on both theory and practical exposure. Faculty members are knowledgeable and encourage students to participate in presentations, research activities, and intercollegiate events. Regular internal exams and assignments ensure consistent learning.
Placement support is decent for commerce students. Companies visit for finance, accounting, marketing, and business support roles. While not every student opts for placements, those with certifications and internships usually receive competitive offers.
The college infrastructure is alright. there are less necessary equipments and facilities. the classrooms aren't that spacious and they also don't have wifi. the library is small. the spaces are hygienic and follow the protocols
Im doing B.com along with marketing. the curriculum is updated and the quality of teaching is also alright. there are recent developments in field. the course does make you job ready as there are lot of field works.
The placements in my course particularly are comparatively less as only 20% get selected after lot of assessment. the salary offered is also less comparatively which is around 5-6 LPA if all assessments done well.
The course I'm doing which is bcom with major in marketing costs around 40 lakhs. i think it is value for money as the college is good and reputed and is offering such course for such a low cost. so it is worth for me
The campus life is also alright there are cool people and friends you will meet and also lot of events that students can participate every now and then. there are cultural events, financial events etc. the teacher and staff is also cooperative.
The college has infrastructure which was not really up to my expectations. There is necessary equipments and stuff but the classrooms are not spacious and there is no AC. There is no wifi in classes. But the spaces are clean
I'm doing bcom with major in marketing. The curriculum is up to date and according to NEP. The quality of teaching is also not very up to my standards. The marketing has lots of assignments which will help you make job ready.
The quality of placements in my major are comparatively less. And the activities to get selected are very much in marketing major to get selected for placements. The average salary offered for starters is around 5-6 LPA.
The course i am doing, bcom with marketing, costs around 40 thousand. Considering it's cheap for the college and the quality of teaching it's good and value for money and sometimes I feel I'm getting my moneys worth
I don't really know or have discovered the best features of this campus and worst features I would say is the infrastructure itself. The students and the support staff are emergency ready if there is any situation.
