St George's College, Nagpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a library facility for all students. The college library is a rich resource center providing services and facilities to meet the requirements of the students and the staff. The library has textbooks on all subjects, the latest reference books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, and magazines. There are a large number of books and journals in Hindi, Marathi, and English. The reference collection in the library includes dictionaries, directories, reports, encyclopedias, CDs, and audiovisual cassettes. A free internet facility is provided for both students and staff members. A large number of books on career guidance and competitive examinations have been included.

The college boasts a large playground for various outdoor sports activities. Students are encouraged to participate in various tournaments both within the college and in various inter-collegiate competitions. Renowned coaches are employed to train students in Football, Cricket, Chess, Carom, Athletics, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, etc.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The college has a computer center that is well-equipped. Internet facilities are available to students and teachers for surfing, so that they remain updated.

The college has spacious laboratories for conducting practicals in Physics, Geography, Geology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Computer Science. All the laboratories are wi-fi enabled and equipped with standard, well-maintained instruments.

The College has a multipurpose hall to conduct various activities on the third floor. The projector has been installed for multiple activities like Guest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, NSS, and extension activities. It has a seating capacity of around 700 students.

The College has a spacious gymkhana on the 3rd floor that houses indoor sports facilities to suitably engage students on the premises. The gymkhana also serves as the Boys Common Room, where male students can relax and interact during free time.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility, which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Boys are given the facility, but they should submit an application form with any fees, which is dependent upon their merit list for S.C./ST/N.T./V.J./ S.B.C./O.B.C. caste category, as decided by this caste percentage.

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Girls are to give the facility, but they should submit an application form with any fees, which is dependent upon their merit list for the S.C./ST/N.T./V.J./ S.B.C./O.B.C. caste category, as decided by this caste percentage.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College A well-designed cafeteria is situated within the college premises on the second floor. Freshly prepared wholesome snacks are served at affordable rates. Complete meals are also provided. The cafeteria is open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days.

The college has all class Rooms are well ventilated and are ICT-enabled. Teachers also use audio amplifiers whenever required. CCTV Cameras have been deployed in all classrooms.
