Classrooms are clean but only problem is not enough fans, but given the climate of Bangalore that is tolerable. The hostel rooms are big and spacious but too much meaningless restrictions. Hostel is far from the college and going to college on your own timing also requires written permission. Food is average. However, hostel staff is too incompetent. And there is no coordination between the college and the hostel.
Academically this college is quite good. There are well maintained labs with all facilities and the teachers are also helpful and knowledgeable. Also this is one of the few colleges to provide a triple honours course.
Placements are better for masters students rather than for bachelors students. However placement cell is quite competent and informative and helpful. Since I am only in my bachelors so I do not have much information about the placement procedure .
I would say the fees for the courses is quite affordable as compared to other colleges. Though there are some charges which I feel are overrated like the lab breakage fees and the biotechnology society fees.
College campus is not too big. It is quite compact. If you are looking for large porticos and big grounds then you'd be disappointed. However campus life is quite interesting. There are different fests both for different departments as well as the combined college fest the Oxfoignite. Teachers and hods are very helpful and cooperative. However I would say the office staff is quite lousy, speaking from my personal experience. Location is quite okay.
If you're looking for a place to get a worthy degree and knowledge this is a good choice but if you're looking for a more happening campus life with posh infrastructure then you might get disappointed.
The college labs are decent enough but there is no sports teacher and extra activities leaving studies is given less attention in this college. The hostels have nice rooms and good environment though the food is not so good
The life science department is very good at Oxford , teachers are always supportive to help student but you have to fulfill the attendance rant or else you may get detained. You should have to keep 75 percent each sem.
Few pharmaceutical companies visit for campus selection and meritorious student are always selcted.Companies like Cipla and Mankind visit the campus and various rounds of selection are taken. The physical science department is having a nice campus placements.
The course fees is 40k per year.Hostel fees is 92k and there are both two sharing and 3 sharing option available. For girls there are lot of restrictions in hostel boys have a bit of lineancy. The hostels are well maintained.
The campus life is limited to very small area and there is not much to discover. It is located at HSR layout and has a good environment outside the campus.
