Tihu College, Nalbari Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College provides a well-furnished RCC Women's Hostel with full facilities for the accommodation of female students from far-flung areas is operative at present. The Women's Hostel has a 44-seat capacity.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College possesses so many modern types of equipment in Gymnasium which are going to be installed in a separate room. A well-equipped and modern Gymnasium with full facilities is going to be constructed with funds spared from the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the College.

The Central Library of the college has a collection of 35,922 books, 35 journals, magazines, and periodicals. The Library also maintains a Book Bank provision consisting of 4,500 essential books for financially disadvantaged students. The Central Library of the College has a large collection of books, journals, periodicals, magazines, and newspapers. It has a huge collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries, religious books, etc. and students can easily access the books during the college hour. It has also a reading room which remains open for students on working days. A separate reading room for the teachers is also available in the Central Library.

The College playground is situated on the east bank of the river. College Sylvan setting provides facilities for Athletics, Football, Cricket, and other Outdoor Games. Volleyball, Badminton, and Kabaddi courts are available within the main campus of the College, in the North Block. Besides, a scientifically framed Basketball Court has already been constructed in the same block last year and is available for the students' use.

The College installed modern technology latest software and old computers were replaced by new ones having updated configurations. 20 computers are connected to the internet facility. LAN facility is available in the Central library, office, and BCA department.

The College provides a well-equipped and hygienic canteen that has been serving the college. It is run by a local party on lease. Students, as well as teachers too, get due facilities here for refreshments.

The College has an auditorium named Kalicharan Deka Memorial Auditorium. The college possesses an attractive auditorium named “K. C. Deka Memorial Auditorium” and it is a readily accessible place to organize all academic and cultural programs, symposiums, seminars, workshops, training programs, etc.

The college has been involved in the developmental activities of the College. This Association is a good platform for ex-students of the College who are welcome to express their free instructive opinions and constructive ideas and feel proud of being an invaluable part of the College. The campus wall of Tihu College constructed by the donations of Alumni is a notable welfare activity of the Tihu College Alumni Association.

The College has an Internet facility available on the college campus through Broadband Wi-Fi.

The college has Science Departments, a Department of Geography, a Department of Education and a Department of Computer Science have well-equipped Laboratory facilities. A new laboratory for the Physics Department has far-flung. The power supply facility has already been provided to all these laboratories for the smooth conduct of practical classes.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
