TR Abhilashi Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology (TRAMIET) was founded in the year 2009 and is the leading engineering college located at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. This affiliated college, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is located on a fifty-acre area. TRAMIET has technology programmes with a total student enrolment capacity of three hundred thirty-four B.Tech courses and three Diploma courses. TR Abhilashi Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology has numerous sophisticated facilities that complement the education process offered in the school. The institute has a well-equipped library with a vast stock of books mainly in engineering, with an aim of promoting continuous learning. Fully equipped modern laboratories are available for different engineering fields and enable the students to gain substantial practical Knowledge. This campus has a well-equipped computer lab and has access to the internet all over the campus through a 32 MBPS dedicated Radio Frequency link.  In this regard, at TRAMIET, some lift facilities for sports and the gym enable students to have their extracurricular undertakings for work-life balance. The institute has hostels for both boys and girls, fully furnished, well-equipped rooms and all necessary amenities.

It has four full-time B. Tech programmes and three full-time Diploma programmes in all engineering disciplines, for a total of 7 programmes. The B.Tech courses comprise Computer Science and Engineering, Computer, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. Diploma courses are available in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering. The total of approved intake for the courses is 330, and the number of seats for each course is between 30-60. Through this diverse course offering, the students have the opportunity to select specialisation areas that best suit their desired careers.

TRAMIET’s admission process is open and based on the merit of the candidate vying for a given opportunity in the college. For B.Tech Programmes, admission can be taken through a National level test known as JEE Main or through a State level test called the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET). However, candidates who possess a minimum 45% mark for the general category and 40% for the reserved categories in their qualifying examination can directly apply. The same is followed at the institute for Diploma courses to provide a level playing field to all the aspiring students. This has been enhanced by its facilities, such as a set of 16 buses to enhance the easy transportation of students from different areas.
