University College of Science, Technology and Agriculture or UCSTA is a renowned college under the University of Calcutta. B.Tech programmes explore a variety of specializations' such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering. UCSTA provides a wide variety of M.Tech, M.Sc and MCA programs at postgraduate level. The college also provides Ph. Doctoral programs for students more likely to pursue careers in research and the academy. 

Admission to UCSTA follows a rigorous, merit-based process. For B.Tech programs, admission relies heavily on scores from the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). M.Tech admissions, on the other hand, consider Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. The college also evaluates scores from other relevant entrance exams for different courses.
