Students at UIIT Shimla are offered four merit scholarships, one for each year of B.Tech (IT, CSE, ECE, CE and EE). The amount of the UIIT Shimla merit scholarship is Rs. 500 per month. UIIT Shimla tuition fee waiver schemes are provided by the institute to 06 candidates based on candidates’ family income in each Engineering branch as per AICTE norms.
Apart from these UIT Shimla scholarships, students are offered prizes each year for standing first, second and third in the semester examinations on the basis of aggregate marks scored in the semester examination. The first, second and third prizes will be given in the form of books costing Rs.1,000, Rs. 750 and Rs. 500 respectively. Students of UIIT Shimla can apply for the various central and state government-sponsored scholarships.
