Vivekananda B.Ed and D.El.Ed College, Murshidabad, has been imparting its duty of providing matured and specialized training on education commencing  and still in place in West Bengal, India. The college offers mainly two programs, that is Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), both being two-year courses full-time. As such, Vivekananda B.Ed and D.El.Ed College makes it more competent for deserving applicants aspiring to join training for next-generation, quality teachers. So, it is strictly a merit-based procedure, which includes marks of the qualifying examination and/or marks of the entrance examination. The candidates must have completed their graduation or post-graduation as a degree from a recognized university to be eligible for this program.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed program also has an intake of 100 seats. Just as the B.Ed program, the merit for admission into this program is based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The manner of selection is followed as per the policies of the state government or UT Administration. Most of the time, the eligibility criteria for the D.El.Ed program require that the candidate must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
