VM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur was established in 2010. Dr. Mohan Gaikwad started VMIT Nagpur as a dream of having an engineering college that equips students with knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant to the industry. The institute is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. VM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur provides admission to BTech and MTech courses in various specializations. VMIT courses include B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech Electrical Engineering, B.Tech Civil Engineering , B.Tech Information Technology, M.Tech Computer Science and M.Tech Structure. 

Admission to VMIT Nagpur BTech course is done based on the marks obtained by students in MHT CET or JEE Main exam. Candidates having a valid MHT CET score are required to participate in the CET Cell Maharashtra counselling process.
