Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur is an autonomous private engineering college that was established in 1984. It is named in the memory of Late Shri Yeshwantrao Chavan, the first chief minister of Maharashtra and the former deputy Prime Minister of India. The institute is spread over a campus size of 14 acres. YCCE Nagpur has a total faculty size of 14 members. The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level respectively. Admissions to B.Tech programmes at YCCE Nagpur are made in two ways: 80 percent of seats are filled through CAP rounds, as per Maharashtra's SCET Cell norms on the basis of JEE Main/MH-CET score. The remaining 20% of seats are awarded based on the candidate's performance in the MHT-CET exam, which is administered by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell, or the JEE Main percentile score. Admissions to M.Tech programmes at YCCE Nagpur are available in two ways: 80 percent of seats are offered through CAP rounds based on GATE scores, as per the criteria published by the Maharashtra SCET Cell. YCCE Nagpur has had a very good placement record over the years, it offers placement opportunities to all its eligible students. The training and placement cell handles all the placement programmes at YCCE Nagpur. It invites recruiters and provides summer and final placements to their students.
