The college caters to the educational needs of the lower-income groups of Kaikoura and its suburbs. 75% of the students come from the suburbs and 50% of them are girls. Our state govt. and the UGC gives top priority to Women's Empowerment. Hence, UGC has sanctioned Rs. 20 lakhs for the construction of a girls’ hostel on the campus, which is completed and can be used by the female students of this college. At present, some girls have been staying in other welfare hostels. But, now the hostel building on the campus can be utilized by the college girls.

The college provides Gymnasium facilities for the students.a.16 station multi gyms. Complete weight lifting and powerlifting sets. Conventional Weights.

The college has a good library with 1000 books on various subjects and encyclopedias for reference. A separate reading room is provided for the students to go through newspapers and journals to keep themselves abreast of current events. Good and proper utilization of the library would certainly enhance the I.Q. of the students.

The College Provides Sports facilities like Outdoor Games: Athletics, Volley Ball, Cricket, Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Shuttle, Ball Badminton, Tennis Court, and Indoor Games: Table Tennis, Chess, and Carrom Board.
