Hello,
AIIMS is one of the top MBBS colleges in India. There are 181 seats reserved for OBC all over AIIMS in India. There are 27 seats reserved for OBC candidates in OBC out of 107 seats in total. Before the admission to AIIMS is done through AIIMS entrance exam but in 2020 AIIMS exam is cancelled and the admission is done through NEET score. AIIMS is the top medical colleges in India and you need to get a min. percentage to get an admission in this. The required percentages are:
GEN-50%
OBC=45%
SC-40%.
This is the min. percentile you need to get to apply for AIIMS. But this is not enough to get a seat in AIIMS. You need to get a very good score of 600 above as the total marks for NEET is 720.
Hope this helps you.
Until 2019, AIIMS MBBS was the entrance examination for admission to MBBS Courses across all AIIMS Branches. In 2019, 98.74 percentile was the cut off for OBC-NCL. Now from 2020, admission to AIIMS will be conducted through All India Counselling through NEET. And there is a difference between scoring pattern of AIIMS MBBS and NEET. AIIMS MBBS is conducted for 200 marks and the results are announced in the form of percentiles whereas NEET is conducted for 720 marks and the results are announced in the form of marks. But if we have to loosely translate 98.74 percentile to marks, it is around 650-700. So that is the marks that you need to score for a seat in AIIMS New Delhi under OBC Category. Now this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. This is the first time AIIMS is conducting its admission through NEET score. All this while, AIIMS conducted its exam for 200 marks and released its score in the form of percentiles. In 2018, the cut off for OBC Category for AIIMS Nagpur was 99,43%. Now NEET conducts its exam for 720 marks and releases its score in the form of marks. 99.43% out of 720 is approximately 700-710. Now in 2019, the highest NEET score was 701. And cut iffs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. If you want a seat in AIIMS Nagpur for 2020, even with OBC reservation, you will need nothing less than 600. Hey!
Yes you are allowed to enjoy and explore Rishikesh. You can go anywhere, once you get permission from the hostels or PGs wherever you are staying during your studies. But you need to come back, before the closing time of hostel gates. Also, you can go for night outs by asking for permission from your warden.
Thank you.
Hello student,
as per your query AIIMs doesn't conduct or sponsor any trip officially for students. But the students of the college can organise it themselves just like batch trips. so you students can contact Rishikesh tour from yourself
hope this will help you
