Murari, in 2019, the cut off for OBC PWD was 90.20. And not forgetting the fact that AIIMS is conducted for 200 marks and also includes GK and English in its exam paper. Now NEET is conducted only in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for 720 marks. If we have to roughly translate 90 percentile on a scale of 720 marks, it is around 650. Now this is previous years data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So for 2020, you will need nothing less than 675 for a seat in AIIMS Dehi under OBC-PWD Category. To help you with your NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages that you can check at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/. To help you during admission and counselling, we have https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion.

Murari, For the first time since it establishment, AIIMS  will conduct its admission based on NEET score through All India Counselling. Once NEET results have been announced, the DGHS will release the merit list on behalf of MCC and open the registration and counselling process. Now there are 2 possible ways of admission here. Either AIIMS will conduct admission to its 1500 seats on the basis of its individual merit list like AFMC or i will follow the normal All India Counselling process. Eitherwise, AIIMS has higher cut off percentiles. If you look at its cut off percentiles, they are nothing less than 93 for reserved Categories and 98 for General Category. Loosely translated to Marks keeping in mind that AIIMS conducts its exam for 200 marks while NEET conducts its exam for 720 marks, you will need nothing less than 650 if you belong to General Category. And it is 675 if you belong to Reserved Categories. This is based on previous years cut off percentiles. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Going by rank might be little confusing and so we are helping you with the marks. Because there are approximately 1500 MBBS seats available for admission and all these follow the constitutional reservations i.e. OBC, EWS, SC,ST. And you haven't mentioned your Category and so it is tad difficult to predict a rank. Still we would say your rank should be below 3000 for a possible seat in AIIMS. To help you with your NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages that you can check at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/. To help you during admission and counselling, we have https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion.

Hi there.

You don't need to worry at all dear , although aiims and jipmer have been merged with neet examination but everything else is still the same.

NCERT is still the base of neet examination, its syllabus is still same as that of class 11 and 12 NCERT of physics, chemistry and Biology and so is its examination pattern.
Even the body conducting the exam is still the same, that is NTA and thus questions will be asked as is it used to be , so major part of questions will be from NCERT like past years in Biology and other subjects and thus you should focus more on NCERT

Good luck for neet preparation

Thankyou

Hello Sachin

It is extremely difficult to predict marks required by you to get a seat in AIIMS

This is because,

  • Earlier admission in aiims was on the basis of Aiims mbbs entrance examination and this it is the first time ever when AIIMS will be conducting admission through neet ,

Also cut off marks for medical colleges including aiimd will depend upon various factors like

  • number of students that appeared in the neet entrance exam,
  • kind of marks obtained by students in the examination ,
  • toughness level of the neet examination etc.

But yes getting into aiims is not going to be easy as seats are very limited and the competition is huge for Aiims Delhi .
considering these things,
you should target around 630 to 650 marks at least in your neet examination if you want to get a seat in Aiims Delhi if you belong to sc category

Thankyou

Good Luck!

Alok, Arihant alone might not be sufficient enough. You have to try the following books too:

NCERT Biology Class XI and Class XII textbooks
Biology Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Trueman
Objective Biology by Dinesh
Objective Botany by Ansari
Pradeep Guide on Biology
GR Bathla publications for Biology

Now if your goal is 340-350 out of 360, then you cannot afford any negative marking. Do not answer when in doubt because you will lose marks in negative marking. Human Physiology and Genetics have maximum weightage in NEET. It is advisable to practise questions of Genetics from previous year question papers, which will give you a thorough understanding of how the questions are being asked. Topics of Plant and Animal kingdom have a lot of portion to memorize. You can prepare these topics by making a comparative table for the sub-topics and studying it together. Plant physiology is also equally important and easy to score.

Hii Adarsh!
The food whether it is up to the mark or not depends on Different people's perspective. It depends upon your food preferences. Generally, the food tastes average but is prepared with hygeine. That is, it is clean and hygeinic. The menu is fixed in a monthly meeting by the menu committee as per the preferences from the students.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
